USA South Golf Athletes of the Week - Sept. 13, 2017

Golfer of the Week
Lance Keiser, Ferrum - The sophomore from Manassas, Virginia finished first at the Tom Kinder Memorial last week by shooting a tournament-record 12-under par 132 which also tied the 36-hole tournament school record. In the two-day event, Keiser opened with four-under par 68 and finished with an eight-under par 64 to tie the program record for lowest round score. His performance helped the Panthers to a third place finish at the event. Also Nominated: Kevin Kim, Berea; Grant Powell, Greensboro; Mariano Silvestri, N.C. Wesleyan; Henry Gee, Huntingdon.

Golf Rookie of the Week
Tyler Bray, Maryville - The freshman from Lutz, Florida finished eighth at the Tom Kinder Memorial last week by shooting a one-under par 143. In the two-day event, Bray opened with an even-par 72 and finished with a one-under par 71. His performance helped the Scots to a sixth place finish at the event. Also Nominated: Juan de Giacomi, N.C. Wesleyan.
