Rico Wallace, Shenandoah - The junior wide receiver from Hanover, Maryland caught two touchdown passes in a 24-14 win over USA South foe Averett. Wallace caught four passes for 104 yards in the victory. His touchdowns were catches of 58 and 15 yards. Football Defensive Player of the Week
Maurice Sheffield, Maryville - The Jonesboro, Georgia senior linebacker accumulated a five total tackles and one interception in a 40-6 victory over USA South rival Greensboro. Sheffield tallied four solo tackles and one assisted take down. He returned his interception 23 yards for a touchdown. Also Nominated: Corey Giffing, Shenandoah; Adrin Diggs, Christopher Newport.

Dwayne Hollis, N.C. Wesleyan - The Newport News, Virginia sophomore defensive back returned the game's opening kickoff for a touchdown in a 56-6 win over USA South foe Methodist. Hollis raced 87 yards to help the Bishops begin the rout. Additionally, he added a tackle and an interception in the win. Men's Soccer Player of
Javier Castrillo, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior midfielder from Gijon, Spain helped the Bishops to a 5-0 win over USA South foe Shenandoah in the team's only action of last week. In the win, Castrillo scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 31st minute then assisted on the team's second score of the game in the 44th minute. Also Nominated: John Thrower, Averett.

Kyle Beach, Methodist - The junior goalkeeper from Tampa, Florida recorded one shutout in a 2-0 week versus USA South competition for the Monarchs. In 167 minutes of action, Beach did not allow a goal while stopping four shots. In a 5-0 win over Greensboro, Beach made two stops in 78 minutes played. Amber Womack, Shenandoah - The Perry Hall, Maryland sophomore forward accumulated six points on two goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Hornets. In a 2-1 win over Wesley, Womack scored the team's first goal in the sixth minute, then assisted on the eventual game-winner in the 15th minute. In a 7-0 win over USA South foe Mary Baldwin, Womack assisted on the eventual game-winning goal in the fifth minute then scored an insurance goal in the 87th minute. Katie Allegro, Greensboro - The Statesville, North Carolina senior goalkeeper posted a shutout in a 3-0 win over USA South rival Methodist in the team's only action last week. Allegro stopped five shots in the 90 minutes between the posts. Also Nominated: Meghan Gumbs, Christopher Newport.

Jalesty Washington, Methodist - The junior outside hitter from Dunn, North Carolina accumulated a .378 hitting percentage while averaging 5.1 kills, 3.5 digs and 0.7 assists per set last week as the Monarchs posted a 3-0 record all versus USA South competition. In a 3-1 win over N.C. Wesleyan, Washington notched a double-double of 21 kills and 17 digs. She also added three assists and one block in the win. In a 3-0 win over Mary Baldwin, Washington recorded 11 kills, eight digs, three assists and two service aces. Finally, in a 3-0 victory over Peace, Washington tallied her second double-double of the week with 19 kills and ten digs. She also added one assist, one service ace and one block. Vann accounted for 207 yards on 12-for-14 passing without an interception. His touchdown passes were from 37 and 66 yards out. He also added 19 rushing yards in the win. Josh Rogers, Shenandoah - The freshman linebacker from Virginia Beach, Virginia totaled six tackles in a 24-14 win over USA South rival Averett. Rogers accumulated four solo tackles and two assisted take downs including one sack for a loss of seven yards.

Eric McGinnis, Methodist - The freshman forward from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania scored four goals 2-0 week for the Monarchs versus USA South competition. In a 5-0 win over Greensboro, McGinnis tallied a hat trick with goals in the 18th, 67th and 68th minutes. In a 2-0 win over Ferrum, McGinnis notched the eventual game-winning goal in the 17th minute. of the Week
Stephanie Marshall, Ferrum - The Poquoson, Virginia freshman midfielder scored both Ferrum goals in a 2-1 win over USA South foe Averett. Marshall's scores came in the 73rd and 80th minutes. In the team's only other action of the week, a 2-1 loss to Salem, Marshall was held scoreless but did manage two shots. Dana Sandknop, Greensboro - The freshman setter from Greensboro, North Carolina averaged 10.7 assists, 1.8 digs and 1.2 kills per set last week as The Pride posted a 3-0 record versus USA South competition. In a 3-1 win over Averett, Sandknop contributed 41 assists, eight digs, four kills and one service ace. In a 3-2 victory over Meredith, Sandknop totaled 49 assists, eight kills, four digs and two service aces. Finally, in a 3-2 win over Shenandoah, Sandknop notched a double-double of 60 assists and 13 digs. She also added five kills and two service aces in the victory.
