Domarius Thomas, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior forward from Raleigh, North Carolina led the Bishops to a 70-68 victory over USA South foe Christopher Newport in the team’s only action last week. In the win, Thomas nearly registered a double-double as he scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Player of the Week
Danielle Duncan, Greensboro - The Greensboro, North Carolina junior forward/center averaged a double-double of 16.7 points and 14.3 rebounds, to go along with 2.0 blocks and 1.7 steals per game as The Pride, ranked 13th nationally, compiled a 4-0 record last week. In a 64-47 win over USA South foe Averett, Duncan contributed eight points, eight rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block. In a 72-54 victory over USA South rival Meredith, Duncan did not play. In a 76-63 win over USA South foe Ferrum, Duncan tallied a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Finally, in a 67-49 win over Piedmont, Duncan notched her second double-double of the week with 28 points and 24 rebounds. She also added five blocks, three steals and one assist in the victory. Justin Rahm, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior infielder from Sugar Hill, Georgia hit .571 (4-for-7) with seven RBI, one run scored and one double as the Bishops opened the season with a doubleheader sweep of Eastern Mennonite. In the first game of the sweep, Rahm was 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Also Nominated: Brandon Thigpen, Methodist; Cody Spruill, Averett; Jason Parker, Ferrum.
Baseball Pitcher of
Andrew Webb, N.C. Wesleyan - The Rocky Mount, North Carolina senior earned in the win in a 10-3 victory over Eastern Mennonite in his only appearance last week. Webb tossed five shutout innings allowing three hits with five strikeouts. Also Nominated: Tre Britt, Methodist.

Damian Dixon, Greensboro - The Tampa, Florida freshman guard averaged 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.6 assists in a 2-1 week for The Pride. In a 77-69 win over USA South rival Averett, Dixon contributed a career-high 25 points to go along with six rebounds, six steals and two assists. In a 106-104, triple-overtime, win over Emory & Henry, Dixon tallied his first career double-double as he scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He also added three assists and two steals in the victory. Finally, in a 78-67, double-overtime, loss to USA South foe Ferrum, Dixon totaled 21 points, five rebounds and one steal. Rookie of the Week
Sara D'Amico, Shenandoah - The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania freshman guard averaged 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game as the Hornets compiled a 1-1 record last week versus USA South competition. In a 64-33 win over Peace, D'Amico totaled two points and one assist. In a 69-65 loss to Meredith, D'Amico scored a career-high 21 points, grabbed a career-high six rebounds, dished out two assists, collected two steals and blocked one shot. Baseball Rookie of the
Chris Perry, Methodist - The junior designated hitter from Cary, North Carolina, in his first year of collegiate baseball, hit .400 (2-for-5) with four RBI, two runs scored, one home run and four walks as the Monarchs opened the season with two-game spilt with Huntingdon. In game one, Perry was 0-for-1 with four walks, one run scored and one run batted in. In game two, Perry was 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run scored and one home run. Pitcher of the Week
Chris Walker, Ferrum - The Rustburg, Virginia freshman earned a no decision in a 2-0 victory over Hampden-Sydney to open the season for the Panthers. Walker tossed six shutout innings two hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. Also Nominated: Tyler Rouff, Averett.
