Brandon Givens, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior forward from Ruffin, South Carolina led the Bishops to a 2-0 record last week versus USA South competition by averaging a double-double of 36.5 points and 11.0 rebounds to go along with 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per contest. In a 112-109, double-overtime, win over 16th-ranked Christopher Newport, Givens set a new school and USA South record for points in a single game with 50. He also added 11 rebounds and four assists in the victory. In a 79-75 win over LaGrange, Givens tallied a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Bianca Richburg, Greensboro - The Hillsborough, North Carolina senior forward did all she could in two defeats last week by averaging a double-double of 26.5 points and 13.5 rebounds along with 2.5 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks per contest. In a 70-53 loss at Maryville, Richburg tallied a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. She also added three blocks and two steals in the defeat. In a 90-59 loss at Ferrum, Richburg notched a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. She also added four assists and three steals in the defeat. Christian McRae, Methodist - The Proctorville, North Carolina freshman guard helped the Monarchs defeat USA South rival Greensboro, 83-75, in the team's only action last week by scoring 24 points. Kendra Stone, Christopher Newport - The Stafford, Virginia freshman forward helped the Captains to a 2-0 record last week versus USA South competition by averaging 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest. In a 60-24 win at Mary Baldwin, Stone tallied a team-high 13 points with seven rebounds and two steals. In a 75-43 victory at Averett, Stone totaled 11 points, eight rebounds, two steal and one assist. Also Nominated: Oneka Jones, Averett; Taylor Swoszowski, Piedmont.
