In a 9-0, six-inning, win over Ferrum, Hazelwood went the distance to record the shutout while allowing four hits and two walks. In a 7-1 victory over Greensboro, Hazelwood again tossed a complete-game and allowed one run on seven hits with one strikeout. Finally, in a 16-6 win over Methodist, Hazelwood earned the victory by tossing two innings and allowing two runs on four hits with one walk and one strikeout. Emily Johnson, Christopher Newport - The Gainesville, Virginia senior defender helped the Captain defense last week as the team posted a 2-0 record. In a 25-1 win over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan, Johnson totaled one goal, three groundballs and three caused turnovers. In a 16-7 victory over Roanoke, Johnson collected three draw controls and two groundballs. In a 10-9 loss to Newberry, Burnet totaled five goals, one assist, five draw controls, two groundballs and two caused turnovers. In a 20-7 victory over USA South foe Methodist, Burnet scored eight goals with one assist, one draw control and one caused turnover. In singles action, Graf collected wins over opponents from Guilford, N.C. Wesleyan and Christopher Newport. In doubles, Graf was 2-1 at the number-two spot and 1-0 at the top location.
