USA South Men's Golf Athletes of the Week - October 16, 2013

Golfer of the Week
          Cory Howard, LaGrange - The junior from Jacksonville Beach, Florida finished second at the Golfweek Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Florida last week by shooting a four-under par 209. In the three-day event, Howard opened with an even-par 71, then shot a five-under par 66 and finished with a one-over par 72. His performance helped the Panthers to a second place team finish. Also Nominated: Lucas Norman, N.C. Wesleyan.

Golf Rookie of the Week
          Logan Lanier, LaGrange - The freshman from St. Augustine, Florida finished seventh at the Golfweek Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Florida last week by shooting a one-over par 214. In the three-day event, Lanier opened with a one-over par 72, then shot a one-under par 70 and finished with a one-over par 72. His performance helped the Panthers to a second place team finish. Also Nominated: None.
