Breck Davidson, Piedmont - The sophomore first baseman from Flowery Branch, Georgia went a combined 6-for-8 (.750) with ten RBI, four runs scored, one triple, one home run, four walks and one stolen base last week as the Lions swept a three-game series from USA South foe Greensboro. Davidson helped Piedmont to the three wins by posting a .786 on-base percentage and a 1.375 slugging percentage. Baseball Pitcher of
Jake Perkins, Ferrum - The Appomattox, Virginia sophomore tossed a no-hitter in a 13-0, nine-inning, victory over USA South Maryville in his only appearance last week. This is Perkins' second no-hitter of the season as the first one came against Southern Virginia in a seven-inning contest to begin the season. Perkins allowed just one walk and struck out 11 batters. Softball Player of the
Laura Carter, Piedmont - The sophomore outfielder from Locust Grove, Georgia went a combined 5-for-6 (.833) with six runs scored, six RBI, one double, four walks and one stolen base as the Lions posted a 6-0 record last week. In a doubleheader sweep of Berry, Carter did not register an at-bat. In a doubleheader sweep of USA South foe Ferrum, Carter was a combined 4-for-5 with five RBI, four runs scored and two walks. Finally in a doubleheader sweep of USA South rival Mary Baldwin, Carter was a combined 1-for-1 with two runs scored, one run batted in, two walks and one stolen base. Softball Pitcher of
Jordin Ellingson, Piedmont - The Cornelia, Georgia sophomore appeared in five games last week and tossed a total of 19.2 innings, allowing two runs on 12 hits with zero walks and 24 strikeouts en route to a 5-0 record. In a doubleheader sweep of Berry, Ellingson earned a complete-game win in game one then followed that performance up by tossing the final inning of game two to collect the victory. In a doubleheader sweep of USA South rival Ferrum, Ellingson again earned a complete-game one win then tossed the final 3.2 innings in game two to collect the win. Finally, in a 10-0, five-inning, win over USA South foe Mary Baldwin, Ellingson tossed four shutout innings allowing one hit with seven strikeouts. Lacrosse Player of the
Katie Burnet, Meredith - The Apex, North Carolina sophomore midfielder tallied 30 points on 25 goals and five assists as the Avenging Angels earned a 3-1 record last week. She also added 13 groundballs, 11 draw controls and ten caused turnovers during the week. In an 18-7 win over Sweet Briar, Burnet scored nine goals to go along with three caused turnovers, two groundballs and two draw controls. In a 12-10 loss to Virginia Wesleyan, Burnet totaled three goals, two assists, four draw controls, two groundballs and two caused turnovers. In a 20-0 victory over USA South foe LaGrange, Burnet tallied seven goals, three assists, five caused turnovers, four groundballs and one draw control. Finally, in a 13-8 win over USA South rival Huntingdon, Burnet contributed six goals, five groundballs and four draw controls. Lacrosse Defensive Player of the
Carly Haraka, Piedmont - The Cumming, Georgia sophomore goalkeeper posted an 8.00 goals against average while playing 150 minutes in goal and stopping 16 shots in a 3-0 week for the Lions versus USA South competition. In a 20-1 win at Agnes Scott, Haraka played the first 30 minutes and made one save. In an 11-9 victory over Ferrum, Haraka went the distance and stopped five shots. Finally, in a 15-10 victory over Greensboro, Haraka again played the full 60 minutes and made ten saves. Men's Tennis Player of
Duncan Miller, Methodist - The senior from Birmingham, Alabama earned a 3-0 record at both the number-one singles and doubles positions last week versus opponents from Birmingham-Southern, Rhodes and Oglethorpe. Madeline Hyatt, Covenant - The senior from Marshville, North Carolina earned a 2-1 record at both the number-one singles and doubles spots last week for the Scots. Hyatt earned each of her victories over opponents from USA South foes Greensboro and Ferrum. Her losses came to opponents from preseason regionally-ranked Berry. Meredith Rudisill, Averett - The freshman catcher from Yanceyville, North Carolina went a combined 7-for-10 (.700) with five runs scored, two RBI and one stolen base as the Cougars posted a 4-0 record last week versus USA South competition. In a doubleheader sweep of N.C. Wesleyan, Rudisill saw action in game two and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. In a doubleheader sweep of Maryville, Rudisill was a combined 5-for-6 with three runs scored, two RBI and one stolen base. Lauren Miller, Greensboro - The Zebulon, North Carolina freshman appeared in two games last week and tossed a total of four innings, allowing one run on three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. In a 7-2 win over USA South foe Covenant, Miller tossed the first three innings and allowed one run on three hits with one walk and six strikeouts. In a 6-3 loss versus Lynchburg Miller pitched the first inning and did not allow a run on one walk with one strikeout. Also Nominated: Sarah Walker, Piedmont.

Kayla Jones, Piedmont - The Lawrenceville, Georgia freshman attacker tallied 17 points on seven goals and ten assists as the Lions earned a 3-0 record last week versus USA South competition. In a 20-1 win at Agnes Scott, Jones tallied three goals, six assists and one groundball. In an 11-9 victory over Ferrum, Jones dished out two assists with one groundball and one caused turnover. Nicholas Quevedo, Averett - The freshman from Quito, Ecuador earned a 2-1 singles record at the number-two spot and a 2-1 doubles mark at the number-one position. In singles action, Quevedo earned wins over opponents from Johnson and USA South foe Maryville. In doubles play, Quevedo teamed with Alexander Terentiev for wins over Johnson and Maryville. Natalia Lopez, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Maracaibo, Venezuela earned a singles and doubles win over opponents from USA South foe Averett in her only match last week. She did not surrender a game in either of the two matches, using teammate Katie Beeman to earn the doubles victory. Also Nominated: Abigail Randolph, Methodist; Annalies Jobsis, Averett.
