USA South Men's Golf Athletes of the Week - October 8, 2014

Golfer of the Week
Cory Howard, LaGrange - The senior from Jacksonville Beach, Florida finished tied for second at the Royal Lakes Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University in Flowery Branch, Georgia last week by shooting a two-under par 142. In the two-day event, Howard opened with a two-under par 70 and finished with an even par 72. His performance helped the Panthers to a third place tie team finish. Also Nominated: John Grimes, Greensboro; Jesse Wall, Ferrum.

Golf Rookie of the Week
Tristan Lough, Greensboro - The freshman from Elon, North Carolina finished tied for 21st at the Royal Lakes Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University in Flowery Branch, Georgia last week by shooting a four-over par 148. In the two-day event, Lough opened with a two-over par 74 and finished with a two-over par 74. His performance helped The Pride to a ninth place tie team finish. Also Nominated: Sam Hill, Piedmont; Landon Prillaman, Ferrum.
