The USA South Athletic Conference is pleased to announce its 2022 Hall of Fame Class. The lone inductee for this year is former Averett University student-athlete, Kelly Gregory.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the USA South has yet to formally induct its 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame Classes. It is the intention of the Conference to hold an event this coming summer which would provide an opportunity for those inductees, as well as the newest hall of famer, Gregory, to be honored in-person.

Kelly Gregory was a four-sport star during her time on the Averett campus (1998-2002) competing in four seasons of soccer, three of tennis, two of basketball, and one of volleyball. On the soccer pitch, Gregory was a three-time team captain and a three-time All-Conference performer. She accumulated 34 career goals with seven assists. Gregory added to her All-Conference accolades while on the tennis court as she was All-League twice. In 2001, Gregory was the female recipient of the USA South's Don Scalf award, given to the Conference's student-athlete of the year. Additionally, she was named Averett's 2000-01 Female Student-Athlete of the Year. In the classroom, Gregory was a four-time All-American Scholar Athlete and a member of Alpha Chi & Sigma Lambda Epsilon Education Honors Societies. In 2002, she earned Averett's C.L. Davenport Award & Norma Roady Senior Academic Excellence Award in physical education. Finally, in 2016, Gregory was inducted into the Averett University Athletic Hall of Fame and in 2014 was selected to the USA South's 50th Anniversary Women's Soccer team.
