The USA South Athletic Conference will give a nostalgic look at institutional staff members each Friday as a part of the Conference's #FlashbackFriday initiative. The Conference will showcase a photo from the person's past and detail where they have been and how they currently serve their athletic department. Sharon Spalding - Mary Baldwin University - Former Athletic Director

• Former Mary Baldwin Athletic Director from 1997-1999 and 2007-2015.
• Also served as head coach of the cross country, women's basketball, and volleyball programs at Mary Baldwin.
• Began tenure at MBU as an instructor in 1990 until ultimately serving as the Director of Wellness from 2007-15.
• During time as athletic director, Spalding added varsity track & field and was instrumental in developing the new university branding in 2016-17.
• Retired in 2020 as professor emeritus at Mary Baldwin.
