  • Baseball Player of the Week
    Nick Marshall, Greensboro - The sophomore first baseman from Reading, Massachusetts went a combined 6-for-12 (.500) with a .600 on-base percentage, and a 1.417 slugging percentage to go along with eight runs scored, five RBI, one triple, three home runs, and four walks as the Pride took two of three games from USA South foe Mary Baldwin in the Pride's only contests of last week.     Baseball Pitcher of the Week
    Tanner Simpson, Methodist - The junior from Elizabeth City, North Carolina tossed a complete-game, seven-inning, one-hit shutout in his only appearance last week, a 16-0 win over USA South foe William Peace.     Baseball Rookie of the Week
    Banks Hartman, Methodist - The freshman outfield from Oak Island, North Carolina went a combined 8-for-20 (.400) with a .500 on-base percentage, and a .500 slugging percentage to go along with six runs scored, three RBI, two doubles, three walks, and one sacrifice hit as the Monarchs posted a 4-1 record last week. In a taking two of three games from USA South foe William Peace, Hartman was a combined 2-for-10 with two runs scored, three RBI, and one double. Also Nominated: Easton King, Brevard.

    Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
    Grady Swinson, William Peace - The freshman from Topsail, North Carolina earned the win in his only appearance last week, a 3-2 victory over USA South foe Methodist. Swinson tossed the first 5.1 innings and allowed just one run on one hit with four walks and three strikeouts. Also Nominated: Ivan Delp, Pfeiffer; Ian Bast, Greensboro; Blake Altschuler, Brevard.

  • Softball Player of the Week
    Alyssa Broaddus, Pfeiffer - The junior utility player from Mechanicsville, Virginia went a combined 7-for-10 (.700) with a .727 on-base percentage, and a 1.200 slugging percentage to go along with eight runs scored, eight RBI, two doubles, one home run, one walk, and two stolen bases as the Falcons posted a four-game sweep of Ferrum last week. In a road doubleheader sweep, Broaddus was a combined 3-for-5 with five runs scored, three RBI, one walk, and one stolen base. In a home doubleheader sweep, Broaddus was a combined 4-for-5 with three runs scored, five RBI, two doubles, one home run, and one stolen base.     Kiersten Margoupis, Methodist - The sophomore from Newport, North Carolina posted a 2-0 record over two complete-game appearances last week for the Monarchs. Margoupis tossed 14.0 innings and accumulated a 0.64 ERA while striking out five batters compared to two walks. In a 2-0 win over Bridgewater, Margoupis pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing three hits without a walk. In a 4-2 victory over Mary Washington, Margoupis again went the distance allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts.     Kyler Perdue, Pfeiffer - The freshman infielder from Asheboro, North Carolina went a combined 2-for-5 (.400) with a .400 on-base percentage, and a .400 slugging percentage to go along with three runs scored and three stolen bases as the Falcons posted a four-game sweep of Ferrum last week.     Softball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
    Emmaline DeGroot, Southern Virginia - The freshman from Uintah, Utah appeared in two games last week, earning a 1-0 record. In 5.1 innings pitched, DeGroot allowed five runs on four hits with two walks and one strikeout. DeGroot's victory came in a start against Randolph. Also Nominated: Logan Masinsky, Brevard.

  • Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
    Isaac Harrington, Piedmont - The sophomore attackman from Palatine, Illinois totaled ten goals, three ground balls, and one caused turnover as the Lions posted a 2-0 record last week. In a 25-1 win over Spalding, Harrington scored a career-high five goals with two ground balls. In a 22-8 victory over USA South foe Southern Virginia, Harrington matched his career-high with five goals to go along with one ground ball and one caused turnover.     Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
    Kaleb Simpson, Methodist - The sophomore faceoff specialist from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was 24-of-26 on faceoffs with 21 ground balls and one assist as the Monarchs posted a 2-0 record last week. In a 16-5 win over Edgewood, Simpson was 10-of-11 on faceoffs with seven ground balls and one assist. In a 23-4 victory over USA South foe Greensboro, Simpson was 14-of-15 on faceoffs with a game-high 14 ground balls.     Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
    Tyler Cameron, Brevard - The freshman defender from Shallotte, North Carolina totaled ten ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Tornados. In an 11-3 win over Wilmington (OH), Cameron grabbed three ground balls and caused two turnovers. In a 24-5 loss to Franciscan, Cameron collected seven ground balls and caused one turnover.   • Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
    Ava Trankina, Piedmont - The junior midfielder from Johns Creek, Georgia totaled eight goals, six assists, 14 draw controls, 13 ground balls, and three caused turnovers as the Lions posted a 2-1 record last week. In a 19-7 loss to Lynchburg, Trankina scored twice with three draw controls and two ground balls. In a 21-0 victory over Randolph, Trankina totaled two goals, four assists, three draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover. Finally, in a 15-14 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia, Trankina posted four goals, two assists, nine ground balls, eight draw controls, and two caused turnovers.     Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
    Paige Kneubuhler, Brevard - The sophomore midfielder from Newburg, Indiana totaled ten caused turnovers, 15 ground balls, and three draw controls, to go along with three goals and two assists, in a 1-1 week for the Tornados. In a 21-3 loss to Oglethorpe, Kneubuhler collected three ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers with one goal scored. In a 14-2 victory over USA South foe William Peace, Kneubuhler set a new program single-game record with eight caused turnovers to go along with 12 ground balls, two goals, and two assists.     Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
    Kenzie Todd, Meredith - The freshman attacker from Brookfield, Connecticut totaled six goals and four assists with four ground balls and one draw control in a 1-1 week for the Avenging Angels. In a 17-10 win over Eastern Connecticut State, Todd scored five goals with three assists, three ground balls, and draw control. In a 12-9 loss to Randolph-Macon, Todd scored once with one assist, and one ground ball.   • Men's Tennis Player of the Week
    Diego Segovia, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior from San Gabriel, Venezuela earned a 2-0 singles and doubles record last week against opponents from #39 Christopher Newport and Virginia Wesleyan. In singles, Segovia earned the wins at the number-two spot while at the number-one doubles position, he teamed with Albert Sitwell to grab the victories.     Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
    Rodrigo Montes de Oca, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Nuevo Chimbote, Peru earned a 2-0 singles record with a 3-0 doubles mark last week against opponents from Pfeiffer, Brevard, and Virginia Wesleyan. In singles, Montes de Oca earned wins over Pfeiffer and Virginia Wesleyan at the number-two and six spots, respectively. In doubles, he teamed with three separate Bishops to grab two victories at the number-one position and another at the number-three spot.     Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
    Diego Segovia and Albert Sitwell, N.C. Wesleyan - The Battling Bishop duo earned a 2-0 record at the number-one spot last week with wins over opponents from #39 Christopher Newport and Virginia Wesleyan.   • Women's Tennis Player of the Week
    Elisa Mariotti, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior from Rome, Italy earned 2-0 singles and doubles records last week at the top-spots for the Battling Bishops against opposition from USA South foes Pfeiffer and Brevard. In doubles, she teamed with Cristina Mendoza Romero to collect the two victories.     Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
    Kala Price, William Peace - The freshman from Raleigh, North Carolina earned a singles and doubles win, both at the top-spots, last week over opposition from USA South foe Mary Baldwin. In doubles, she teamed with Camryn Straughn to collect the victory. Also Nominated: Ivanna Torres, N.C. Wesleyan; Lia Savage, Southern Virginia.

    Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
    Jillian Arnold and Paula Snelson, Southern Virginia - The Knight duo earned an 8-2 victory at the number-one spot over opposition from USA South foe Pfeiffer in the only match of last week for the pair. Also Nominated: Elisa Mariotti and Cristina Mendoza Romero, N.C. Wesleyan; Caimbree Gann and Riley Isley, Pfeiffer; Kala Price and Camryn Straughn, William Peace.

  • Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
    Shevaun Daley, Pfeiffer - The freshman from Apopka, Florida competed at the Charlotte 49er Classic last week in four events. The highlight of the meet was in the 200 meters as Daley established a new program record, finishing the race in 21.98. Daley also competed in the 100 meters, the 400 meters, and was a part of the 4x100 meter relay team. Also Nominated: Devon Brodmyer, Brevard; Dylan May, Southern Virginia.

    Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
    Koby Parry, Southern Virginia - The sophomore from Spanish Fork, Utah competed at the Washington & Lee Carnival setting a new school record in the javelin. Parry set the new mark with a throw of 52.37 meters. Also Nominated: None.

    Men's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week
    Shevaun Daley, Pfeiffer - The freshman from Apopka, Florida competed at the Charlotte 49er Classic last week in four events. The highlight of the meet was in the 200 meters as Daley established a new program record, finishing the race in 21.98. Daley also competed in the 100 meters, the 400 meters, and was a part of the 4x100 meter relay team. Also Nominated: Joseph Hughes, Southern Virginia.

    Men's Outdoor Field Rookie of the Week
    Andre Lucas, Southern Virginia - The freshman from Fernandina Beach, Florida competed at the Washington & Lee Carnival in two events. In the long jump, Lucas set a new program record with a leap of 6.93 meters while also competing in the high jump. Also Nominated: Dakota George, Brevard; David Dennis, Pfeiffer.

  • Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
    Madison Lowery, Pfeiffer - The senior from Kannapolis, North Carolina competed at the Charlotte 49er Classic last week and set a new program record by finishing the 5,000 meters in a time of 17:40.93. Also Nominated: Haylea-Layne Miller, Brevard; Folole Torres, Southern Virginia.

    Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
    Jilane Pederson, Southern Virginia - The senior from St. Louis, Missouri competed in the javelin at the Washington & Lee Carnival last week, posting a best effort of 35.38 meters. Also Nominated: None.

    Women's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week
    Tessa Miller, Southern Virginia - The freshman from Lehi, Utah competed in two events at the Washington & Lee Carnival last week. In the 800 meters, Miller set a new school record with a time of 2:18.76. Miller also took part in the 1,500 meters, finishing in a time of 4:58.45. Also Nominated: Maddie Hladik, Pfeiffer.

    Women's Outdoor Field Rookie of the Week
    Jocelyn Baker, Southern Virginia - The freshman from Huntingdon, West Virginia competed in two events at the Washington & Lee Carnival last week. In the high jump, Baker posted a best effort of 1.48 meters while in the pole vault, Baker reached 2.63 meters. Also Nominated: Paris Bennett, Pfeiffer.
