(BREVARD, NC) - The 2024 USA South Men's Soccer Tournament championship took place on the campus of Brevard College on Saturday, November 9 as fourth-seeded William Peace defended second-seeded Brevard, 2-1, in overtime.

The first half was scoreless for all but 11 seconds which is when Ryan Lynch put in a free kick to put Brevard up 1-0 at the half. The Tornados finished the first half with just two shots on goal to William Peace's five.

The Pacers did not stay down for long as in the 62nd minute Brevard was called for a foul in the box with resulted in a William Peace penalty kick. Jorge Lemus slid the ball into the net to tie the score at one goal apiece. There would be no more scoring the rest of regulation, therefore overtime was needed.

In overtime, Lemus struck again as just over a minute in he stole a pass deep in the defensive zone and converted it into the championship-winning goal. The Pacers earned the program's first tournament championship with the victory.
