(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2024 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament championship took place on the campus of Methodist University on Saturday, November 9 as the second-seeded, host, Monarchs earned the program's fourth League tournament title by defeating fourth-seeded Southern Virginia, 2-0.

It did not take long for Methodist to assert its authority as Camaryn Piper scored off a corner kick from Gizelle Garcia which was headed to Piper by Daphne Paleocrassas just one minute into the match. The Knights controlled much of the play the remaining of the half but could not break through before the first 45 minutes were complete.

As was the case in the first half, the Monarchs scored early in the second stanza, just under ten minutes in, as Piper once again was on the receiving end of a Garcia corner kick to give Methodist a two-goal lead they would not relinquish. In goal, Carolina Simpkins posted the shutout for the Monarchs by stopping all four shots faced.
