KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Brevard College women's soccer program added to its bevy of honors from the 2024-25 academic year, as the Tornados were awarded the prestigious Team Pinnacle Award from United Soccer Coaches.
 
BC is just one of 14 programs across all levels of collegiate soccer to earn the honor.
 
In its seventh year, the Team Pinnacle Award honors teams that have achieved a high level of fair play, educational excellence, and success on the pitch.
 
To be considered for the award, teams must have received either the Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the High School or College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award; achieved recognition in the classroom as a recipient of the High School or College Team Academic Award; and recorded a winning percentage of .750 or higher during the respective season.

During the course of the 2024-25 campaign, the Tornados were honored by United Soccer Coaches with the Team Academic Award, current senior midfielder Kiara Porcelli represented BC as a 2024 Coaches Scholar Performer, a school-record five Tornados earned All-Region honors from United Soccer Coaches, and five Tornaods were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators. Brevard earned three major awards from the USA South – Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Goalkeeper of the Year – and garnered seven spots on the USA South All-Conference Team thanks to an unbeaten 15-0-3 campaign and Brevard's first NCAA regular season title in any sport – the 2024 USA South Women's Soccer Regular Season Championship.
 
BC has picked up right where it left off, opening the 2025 season with 11 consecutive wins for the first time in NCAA-era history. Brevard holds an unbeaten streak of 29 matches dating to the end of the 2023 season. Through 11 matches this Fall, Brevard has outscored opponents 55-3 and continues to rank among the nation's statistical leaders.
