Brock Morris, Belhaven - The Jackson, Mississippi senior quarterback led three scoring drives in the final 12 minutes of the game to overcome a 14-point deficit and lead the Blazers to a 41-38 win over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan. Morris was 24-for-34 through the air with 448 yards and three touchdowns. The 448 yards are the most in a single-game by a USA South quarterback since 2021. Football Defensive Player of the Week
Brandon Broughton, Brevard - The Lawrenceville, Georgia sophomore defensive back collected ten total tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception in a 35-32 victory over USA South rival Southern Virginia. Broughton accumulated five solo and assisted tackles with one tackle for a loss of three yards. His interception came with six seconds remaining in the second quarter at the Tornado four yard line to prevent any points by the Knights to end the half. Winston accumulated nine solo tackles with five assisted take downs. Lyndell Boatman, Belhaven - The Eupora, Mississippi junior place kicker connected on two field goals including the game-winner with 26 seconds remaining in a 41-38 victory over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan. Boatman was good from 20 and 18 yards out on the day while also hitting all five of his point-after-touchdown attempts.
