  • Football Offensive Player of the Week
    Henry Brodnax, LaGrange - The Newnan, Georgia junior quarterback tossed six touchdown passes in a 65-27 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week as the Panthers closed out an undefeated Conference season. Brodnax was 17-for-25 through the air with 423 yards to go along with 13 yards on two rushes. Also Nominated: Ethan Beamish, Brevard.

    Football Offensive Rookie of the Week
    Aaron Bryant, LaGrange - The Homerville, Georgia freshman wide receiver caught two touchdowns in a 65-27 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week as the Panthers closed out an undefeated Conference season. Bryant totaled 121 receiving yards which included touchdown catches of 56 and 57 yards. Also Nominated: Cameron Turner, Greensboro.

    Football Defensive Player of the Week
    Frank Walker, Greensboro - The Winston-Salem, North Carolina sophomore defensive lineman totaled ten tackles and two quarterback hurries in a 13-12 win over USA South rival Methodist last week. Walker made five solo tackles with five assisted take downs which included two sacks. Also Nominated: Dee Gray, Belhaven; Baylee Ramey, Brevard; Ty Smith, Southern Virginia.

    Football Defensive Rookie of the Week
    Marvin Pulley, Brevard - The Donsonville, Georgia freshman linebacker totaled nine tackles with one fumble recovery in a 45-6 win over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan last week. Pully accumulated four five solo tackles and four assisted take downs. Also Nominated: Zymarion Hudson, LaGrange; Britton Tidwell, Southern Virginia.

    Football Special Teams Player of the Week
    Tim McReynolds, Huntingdon - The Geneva, Alabama senior returner averaged 25.7 yards per punt return in a 3013 win over USA South rival Belhaven last week. McReynolds returned six punts with a long of 51 yards. Also Nominated: Hayden Vandegriff, Brevard.

  • Men's Basketball Player of the Week
    Doug Smith, Pfeiffer - The Badin, North Carolina senior forward averaged a double-double of 24.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, to go along with 3.5 blocks, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game as the Falcons posted a 2-0 record last week. In a 92-78 win over Johnson & Wales (N.C), Smith posted a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds with five blocks and four assists. In a 95-89 victory over Lynchburg, Smith totaled 23 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Also Nominated: Parker Hodgson, William Peace; Nasir Johnson, N.C.     Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
    Ro'Mello Pegues, N.C. Wesleyan - The Dunn, North Carolina freshman guard averaged 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in a 1-1 week for the Battling Bishops. In a 106-102 loss to Guilford, Pegues scored 21 points with five rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. In a 77-73 victory over Randolph, Pegues totaled 11 points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.   • Women's Basketball Player of the Week
    Kayden Johnson, Brevard - The sophomore forward from Statesville, North Carolina averaged 21.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game as the Tornados posted a 2-0 record last week. In a 71-52 win over Bob Jones, Johnson totaled 20 points, seven rebounds, and one steal. In a 76-63 victory over Warren Wilson, Johnson scored 23 points with seven rebounds, two assists, and one block.     Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
    Lauren Ringwood, Salem - The freshman guard from Spruce Pine, North Carolina scored a team-high 24 points in the Spirits' lone contest of last week, a 61-57 win over Regent. Ringwood also added seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Also Nominated: Emma Roche, Meredith; Tatum Bradford, Greensboro; Ensley Perry, William Peace.
