The first round of the 2026 USA South Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament has concluded with three of the four higher-seeded teams claiming victories.

Top-seeded Brevard had a dominate second half to pull away from eighth-seeded Meredith, 83-61, as second-seeded Southern Virginia led throughout in advancing past seventh-seeded Methodist, 71-44. It was third-seeded N.C. Wesleyan who kept sixth-seeded Greensboro at bay in a 91-69 win while fifth-seeded William Peace pulled off the lone first round upset, defeating fourth-seeded Pfeiffer, 63-62.

The semifinal round is now set as William Peace will travel to Brevard while N.C. Wesleyan will head to Southern Virginia for games on Thursday, February 26. The winners of those contests will meet for the tournament title hosted by the highest-remaining seed on Saturday, February 28.
