Buena Vista, Va. – Southern Virginia University's Eli Ballstaedt has made program history, becoming the first player ever to earn a spot on the D3hoops.com All-Region Team. Ballstaedt was named to the All-Region 6 Second Team as a forward following an outstanding season with the Knights.

This marks the 24th year D3hoops.com has recognized an All-Region team, and Ballstaedt's selection places him among the nation's best in NCAA Division III basketball. He was one of 789 eligible players nominated this season, highlighting his impressive impact on the court.

Ballstaedt, who was also named USA South Conference Player of the Year and earned First-Team All-Conference honors, led the Knights with 18.7 points per game while helping guide Southern Virginia to a historic 19-8 season, the most wins in program history at the NCAA Division III level.

The D3hoops.com All-America Team, which is among the only selections recognized in the NCAA record book, will be announced soon, continuing the postseason accolades for Division III's top performers.
