The Mary Baldwin University athletic department added Cameron Branscomb to the staff as the first full-time Sports Information Director since 2020.

"Adding Cameron Branscomb to our staff is a big step forward for Mary Baldwin athletics," said Director of Athletics Tom Byrnes.  "We're confident he will help the Fighting Squirrels grow in many areas of communications, including the department's website, social media, video production, photography, awards and so much more.  He's an excellent addition to our staff."

Branscomb earned his undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019 and added a master's degree in sports leadership from VCU in 2024.

In addition to his experience as a videographer, video editor, TV field journalist, and news writer in the past few years, Branscomb contributed to the Athletic Communications staff at VCU in 2023-24 as a social media manager and interview coordinator.  He wrote press releases, created video content, contributed to in-game statistical support and live stats for various sports and managed website pages with player bios, game recaps and statistical information.
