(BREVARD, N.C.) - The 2025 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament championship took place on the campus of Brevard College on Saturday, November 8 as the top-seeded, host, Tornados earned the program's first League tournament title by defeating second-seeded Southern Virginia via penalty kicks (5-4) after a scoreless affair.

In the first half, Southern Virginia outshot Brevard, 12-3, with five on net. It was much of the same in the second stanza with the Knights holding a 6-3 advantage in shots. Not much action occurred in the two overtime periods to lead into penalty kicks. In goal, both Brevard's Abby Nunez (seven saves) and Southern Virginia's Beth Manwill (four saves) posted shutouts for their squads.

During penalty kicks, each team hit their first two kicks before a miss from Southern Virginia. Brevard then missed their fourth kick to tie things up at three scores each. It would take the sixth kickers on each side to ultimately decide the outcome as the Knight's attempt missed which allowed the Tornado's Lillie Teague to win it for the home team.
