  • Football Offensive Player of the Week
    Cameron Turner, Greensboro - The Lakeland, Florida sophomore quarterback accounted for five touchdowns in a 42-20 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week. Turner was 21-of-33 through the air for 364 yards and four touchdowns. On the ground, Turner added 22 yards and a fourth quarter touchdown.     Football Offensive Rookie of the Week
    Marvin Reed, Jr., Brevard - The Cornelius, North Carolina freshman running back ran for 103 yards on 11 carries with the game's first three touchdowns in a 51-8 win over USA South rival Belhaven last week. Additionally, two weeks ago in a 59-0 shutout over Guilford, Reed carried the ball 11 times for 73 yards while adding one catch for 16 yards. Also Nominated: Kendrick Worthington, Southern Virginia.

    Football Defensive Player of the Week
    Antonio Simpson, Brevard - The Columbus, North Carolina senior linebacker collected five total tackles, all unassisted, including three for a loss, and a scored a safety in a 51-8 win over USA South rival Belhaven last week. Additionally, two weeks ago in a 59-0 shutout over Guilford, Simpson totaled five tackles. Also Nominated: Collin Roddy, Methodist; Jay Law, Greensboro; Scott Pese, Southern Virginia.

    Football Defensive Rookie of the Week
    Jakari Holloman, Greensboro - The Pageland, South Carolina freshman linebacker collected eight total tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown in a 42-20 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week. Holloman totaled three solo tackles and five assisted takedowns while his interception was returned 23 yards in the fourth quarter to slam the door on any SVU comeback.     Football Special Teams Player of the Week
    Paul Davis, LaGrange - The Tallahassee, Florida freshman cornerback blocked a first quarter punt, recovered it, and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown in a 41-31 win at USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan last week. Davis' block came at the end of N.C. Wesleyan's first possession and gave the Panthers a lead they would never relinquish.   • Men's Soccer Player of the Week
    Carson Stretz, Methodist - The Virginia Beach, Virginia senior forward scored three times in a 2-0 week for the Monarchs. In a 7-0 win at Averett, Stretz scored the match's first two goals, including the eventual game-winner. In a 3-0 victory over USA South foe Mary Baldwin, Stretz scored an insurance goal in the 55th minute.     Alvaro Arroyo, Greensboro - The Valladolid, Spain senior goalkeeper allowed two goals in 180 minutes played with 12 total saves over two USA South contests. In a 1-0 shutout of Brevard, Arroyo stopped all three shots faced. In a 2-2 draw with defending regular season champion, Pfeiffer, Arroyo collected nine saves.     Oliver Randholm Luque, Greensboro - The Marbella, Spain freshman forward scored one goal in a 1-0-1 week for the Pride.   • Women's Soccer Player of the Week
    Joelle Hare, Mary Baldwin - The Suffolk, Virginia sophomore forward scored three times with one assist in a 1-1 week for the Fighting Squirrels. In a 1-0 loss to Eastern Mennonite, Hare managed four shots on goal. In a 7-0 victory over USA South foe Salem, Hare notched a hat trick of three goals while also adding an assist.     Women's Soccer Defender of the Week
    Abby Nunez, Brevard - The Homestead, Florida senior goalkeeper notched two shutouts and a 2-1 record last week for the Tornados. In 270 total minutes played, Nunez stopped 16 of the 18 shots faced. In a 1-0 shutout of previously unbeaten Sewanee, Nunez stopped all nine shots faced. In a 2-0 loss to Johnson & Wales (N.C.), Nunez managed one save. Finally, in another 1-0 shutout, this time of USA South foe Meredith, Nunez made six saves.     Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week
    Riley Mills, Southern Virginia - The Napa, California freshman midfielder scored three times in a 2-0 week for the Knights. In an 8-0 win over Bob Jones, Mills scored twice. In a 3-0 victory over USA South foe Pfeiffer, Mills notched an insurance goal in the 65th minute.   • Volleyball Player of the Week
    Leah Rymer, Salem - The junior setter from China Grove, North Carolina averaged 5.70 assists, 3.60 kills, and 3.40 digs per set as Salem posted a 2-1 record last week against USA South foes. The wins came over Brevard and William Peace with the loss to Southern Virginia. Rymer posted two triple-doubles along with a double-double with week-match of 28 assists, 18 digs, 16 kills, two service aces, and one block.     Morgan Mayfield, Greensboro - The senior libero from Mount Airy, North Carolina averaged 7.75 digs per set as the Pride posted a 2-0 record last week against USA South foes. The wins came over Pfeiffer and N.C. Wesleyan. Mayfield posted week match-highs of 46 digs, four assists, three service aces, and one kill.     Volleyball Rookie of the Week
    Harper Evans, Methodist - The freshman setter from Edenton, North Carolina averaged 10.22 assists, 2.89 digs, 1.22 service aces, and 1.00 kills per set as the Monarchs posted a 2-1 record last week against USA South foes. The wins came over Mary Baldwin and Brevard with a loss to Meredith. Evans posted one double-double to go along with week match-highs of 39 assists, ten digs, five service aces (twice - career-high), four kills, and one block.     Ethan Carlan, Brevard - The Jasper, Georgia junior placed 60th out of 278 runners at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic last week. Carlan completed the 8,000-meter course in time of 27:40. Also Nominated: Jadin Tabron, Greensboro; Thomas Hanson, Methodist.

    Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
    Caden Fuller, Brevard - The Pleasant Garden, North Carolina freshman placed 119th out of 278 runners at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic last week. Fuller completed the 8,000-meter course in time of 28:41. Also Nominated: Jadin Tabron, Greensboro; Thomas Hanson, Methodist.

  • Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
    Nicky Black, Mary Baldwin - The Lexington, Virginia senior placed 14th out of 29 runners at the James Madison Invitational two weeks ago. Black completed the 5,000-meter course in time of 22:39. Also Nominated: Karley Call, Brevard; KC Tanis, Greensboro; Alexandria Manuel, Methodist.

    Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
    Karley Call, Brevard - The Millers Creek, North Carolina freshman placed 141st out of 200 runners at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic last week. Call completed the 5,000-meter course in time of 23:16. Also Nominated: KC Tanis, Greensboro; Alexandria Manuel, Methodist.
