Austin Rinzel, Methodist - The junior centerfielder from Columbia, South Carolina went a combined 13-for-17 (.765) with an .800 on-base percentage, and a 1.118 slugging percentage to go along with 11 runs scored, six RBI, two home runs, two walks, and two stolen bases as the Monarchs posted a 3-1 record last week. In a 15-10 win over fourth-ranked Belhaven, Rinzel was 3-for-4 with four runs scored, two RBI, one walk, and one stolen base. In taking two of three games from USA South foe Southern Virginia, Rinzel was a combined 10-for-13 with seven runs scored, four RBI, his first two collegiate home runs, and one stolen base. James Eason, Pfeiffer - The sophomore from Rockingham, North Carolina appeared in one game, a start, last week for the Falcons, earning a win in a 7-0 victory at USA South rival William Peace. Eason tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing just three hits with four walks and seven strikeouts. Baseball Rookie of the Week
Brayden Sands, Greensboro - The freshman third baseman from Bradenton, Florida went a combined 8-for-15 (.533) with a .600 on-base percentage, and a .667 slugging percentage to go along with seven runs scored, three RBI, two doubles, four walks, and one stolen base in a 3-1 week for the Pride. In a 9-6 win over Muskingum, Sands was 2-for-5 with one run scored. In taking two of three games from USA South rival N.C. Wesleyan, Sands was a combined 6-for-10 with six runs scored, three RBI, two doubles, four walks, and one stolen base. Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Sean Jennison, Methodist - The freshman from Trinity, North Carolina appeared in two games, both starts, and earned two wins last week for the Monarchs. In eight total innings pitched, Jennison posted a 2.25 ERA by allowing two runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts. In a pre-determined four inning-max performance against fourth-ranked Belhaven, the Monarchs got a 15-10 win as Jennison allowed two runs on three hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
