(MISENHEIMER, NC) - The 2026 USA South Baseball Tournament has come to an end on the campus of Pfeiffer University. The host, and second-seeded, Falcons claimed the program's first tournament title with a 6-0 victory over fifth-seeded William Peace in the second game of the best-of-three championship series.

Unlike the night before, runs were at a premium early for both teams as zeros were put up through the first four innings. Pfeiffer would finally breakthrough in the top of the fifth inning with three runs coming on a throwing error and singles from Austin Wood and Jack Brandle. The Falcons would tack on three more runs in the next inning as Joe Javier singled one home before two additional scored on another Brandle hit. That would be all Pfeiffer would need en route to the victory.

On the mound, James Eason and Cameron Cooper combined to pitch a shutout for the Falcons. Eason went seven scoreless innings, allowing just four hits before giving way to Cooper who got the final six outs. It is the first time since the 2017 USA South Tournament that the title was clinched with a shutout. That game featured LaGrange defeating Piedmont, also by the score 6-0.
