MISENHEIMER, N.C. — Pfeiffer University has been selected as a host site for a first-round game of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship and will welcome Transylvania University to campus on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:00 p.m.
The Falcons (15-2) earned the opportunity to host an opening-round contest following their fourth-straight USA South Tournament Title following a 23-7 win over Southern Virginia on Saturday, May 2.
Transylvania (12-4) enters following a 23-0 shutout win over Hanover College in the Heartland College (HCAC) Championship game on Sunday, April 26.
Pfeiffer and Transylvania share one common opponent in the 2026 season in Piedmont University. Pfeiffer downed Piedmont in USA South play in Misenheimer by a 23-6 score on March 28 while Transylvania took an 18-10 win over the Lions on Feb. 13 at the Sewanee Invitational

Wednesday's matchup will mark the first-ever meeting between Pfeiffer and Transylvania in men's lacrosse. The winner will advance to the second round of the NCAA Championships and will take on Christopher Newport in Newport News, Va.
