Justin Pierce, Averett - The
senior guard/forward from Virginia Beach,
Virginia averaged 29.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and
1.5 steals per contest as the Cougars posted a 1-2 record. In USA
South competition alone, Pierce averaged a double-double of 34.0
points and 11.5 rebounds per game. In a 71-67 loss to N.C.
Wesleyan, Pierce notched a double-double of 30 points and 11
rebounds. He also added four assists and one steal in
the defeat. In a 69-68 loss at Barber Scotia, Pierce
scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out two assists and
blocked one shot. Finally, in a 90-86 win over LaGrange,
Pierce tallied a double-double of 38 points and 12
rebounds. He also added four steals and one assist in the

Green, Christopher Newport - The Richmond,
Virginia sophomore forward led the Captains to a 2-0
record last week versus USA South competition by averaging a
double-double of 16.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per contest.
She also averaged 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per game. In
a 91-74 win at LaGrange, Green notched a double-double of 18
points and a career-high 18 rebounds. She also added two blocks in
the victory. In a 57-52 victory over Piedmont, Green scored 14
points, grabbed eight rebounds, collected two steals, dished out
one assist and blocked one shot. Also Nominated: Chevena

Baseball Player of the
Week
Josh Bailey, Piedmont -
The junior outfielder from Conyers, Georgia went a combined 4-for-5
(.800) with five RBI, two runs scored, one walk and two stolen
bases last week as the Lions spilt two games with Guilford to open
the season. In an 8-4 win, Bailey was 2-for-2 with three RBI, one
run scored, one walk and one stolen base. Also Nominated: Austin

Baseball Pitcher of
the Week
Cody Moore, Averett - The Yorktown,
Virginia junior earned a victory in the season
opening-win, 4-3, over Hampden-Sydney in his only appearance on the
mound last week. Moore tossed five innings, allowing two runs
on seven hits with no walks and four strikeouts to earn the win.

JD Wallace, Ferrum - The Reston,
Virginia freshman guard helped the Panthers to a 1-1
record last week versus USA South competition by averaging
11.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per
contest. In a 76-60 loss at Methodist, Wallace tallied
ten points, four rebounds and three assists. In
an 87-82 victory over LaGrange, Wallace scored 13
points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out four assists, collected

Mackenzie Puckett,
Maryville - The Franklin,
Tennessee freshman guard helped the Scots to a 3-0
record last week versus USA South competition by averaging 8.0
points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per
contest. In an 83-36 win over Mary Baldwin, Puckett totaled
seven points, four steals, three rebounds, two assists and one
block. In an 82-49 victory at Meredith,
Puckett contributed nine points, two rebounds,
two assists and two blocks. Finally, in a 65-56 win
over William Peace, Puckett scored eight points, grabbed nine
rebounds and dished out one assist. Also Nominated: Brandi
