(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th
for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50
Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in
50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in
Conference history.
Each week, a year of moments will be released on the USA South's

the bottom of the screen.
1963 -
1964
- The Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is formed and
includes Charlotte College (now UNC-Charlotte), College of
Charleston (S.C.), Lynchburg College, Methodist University, North
Carolina Wesleyan College and St. Andrews Presbyterian
College.
- The sports of men’s basketball, bowling, men’s
cross country, men’s golf and men’s tennis are the
first sports sponsored by the Conference.
- St. Andrews wins first-ever regular season men’s
basketball championship with College of Charleston capturing the
tournament title.
