Huntingdon's Haskins Named to National Baseball Team of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon center fielder Heath Haskins was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in three games this past weekend.

This is the second straight week a Huntingdon player has received national recognition on the Team of the Week.

Haskins was one of three outfielders and 13 total players recognized this week. In three Huntingdon wins, Haskins was 5-for-11 for a .455 batting average, with eight RBIs, four doubles and a run.

The junior was 2-for-4 with five RBIs, a double and a run in a 16-3 win over North Park and 2-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles in a 3-1 win over second-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater.

In a 4-3 win over Spalding, Haskins was for 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a double. Haskins drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Through six games this season, Haskins leads Huntingdon with a .478 batting average, 11 hits, 10 RBIs and five doubles. He also has three runs and two stolen bases.
