Methodist Men's Golf Wins National Championship

(GREENSBORO, NC) - The 2018 NCAA Division III National Tournament has completed its fourth and final day of action in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Grandover Resort. The USA South was represented by four teams (Greensboro College, Huntingdon College, Methodist University and N.C. Wesleyan College) as well as one individual from Ferrum College (Lance Keiser), at the 72-hole event.

Methodist University captured the program's 12th NCAA Division III National Championship, winning the title by 11 strokes (READ MORE). The Monarchs were led by Dan Sheperd who finished the tournament tied for third with a four-day total of 286 (-2). Sheperd was the USA South's highest individual finisher. Greensboro's Levi Grogan also had a top-ten performance as he placed fifth with a total of 287 (-1). As a team, Huntingdon placed tied for 11th while Greensboro finished 14th. N.C. Wesleyan as well as Ferrum's Keiser did not make the cut after the second day of action.
