The USA South Athletic Conference has announced the results of
its 2003 football pre-season poll. Christopher Newport has been
unanimously predicted to win its third consecutive Conference
title.
The poll is voted on by the football coach at each school. Each
school was not allowed to vote for its own team. CNU was chosen
first on all six ballots of the other head coaches.
The Captains split the last two regular season championships
with Ferrum. The Panthers have been slated to finish second this
year, with Shenandoah slightly behind at third.
