Methodist Wins USA South Men's Golf Tournament

(SPARTANBURG, SC) - The 2023 USA South Men's Golf Tournament has finished its final round at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina with Methodist capturing the championship for the 33rd time in program history. Due to constant rain with no signs of letting up, the final round was cut short to nine holes.

The Monarchs led from start to finish, posting a 13-over par 733 to take the title over second-place Greensboro's 40-over par 760. Placing third with a 57-over par 777 was Southern Virginia. 

Individually, Methodist's Cameron Cappuzzo captured medalist honors for the second consecutive season with a seven-under par 173. Greensboro's Andreas Huber placed second with a four-over par 184 while N.C. Wesleyan's Myles Patterson and Methodist's David D'Agostino tied for third with a five-over par 185. Rounding out the top-five were Cooper Hrabak (Methodist) and JZeke Dukes (Greensboro) who each shot eight-over par 188s.
