USA South Football Athletes Earn All-Region; Maryville's Fox Coach of the Year

D3football.com has announced its 2024 All-Region teams and the USA South Athletic Conference is represented by 14 honorees from five teams (Belhaven, Brevard, Huntingdon, Maryville, N.C. Wesleyan), including the Region's Coach of the Year, on the All-Region 3 Team. 

Maryville's Ben Fox, who coached his Scots to a 9-2 overall record, including a playoff win and a trip to the second round of the NCAA playoffs, earned Region 3 Coach of the Year honors. It is his fifth season as head coach.

NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 3 includes the American Southwest Conference, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the Southern Athletic Association, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the USA South Athletic Conference.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 3 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 195 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 78 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
