Methodist Captures USA South Women's Golf Title

(SPARTANBURG, SC) - The 2024 USA South Women's Golf Tournament has finished its final round at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina with Methodist defending its title to become champions for the fourth consecutive year.

The Monarchs led from wire-to-wire, posting a 50-over par 914 to take the title over second-place Huntingdon's 84-over par 948. Placing third with a 116-over par 980 was Piedmont. 

Individually, Piedmont's Erin Donovan road a final round three-under par 69 to medalist honors by shooting a one-over par 217 for the tournament. Methodist teammates, Emily Gresham and Natalie Brosig placed tied for second with eight-over par 224s. Huntingdon's Mary Charles Davis placed fourth with a 16-over par 232 while Methodist's Jenna Rutledge came in fifth with a 17-over par 233.
