(SPARTANBURG, SC) - The 2024 USA South Men's Golf Tournament has finished its final round at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina with Methodist capturing the championship for the third consecutive year and the 34th time in program history.
The Monarchs led from start to finish, posting an 18-under par 846 to take the title over second-place Greensboro's 49-over par 913. Placing third with a 51-over par 915 was N.C. Wesleyan.
Individually, Methodist's Cooper Hrabak and Caleb Ryan captured co-medalist honors with seven-under par 209s. Their teammate Cameron Cappuzzo placed third with a four-under par 212 while Southern Virginia's Brogan Bennett placed fourth with a two-over par 218. Rounding out the top-five were Greensboro's Andreas Huber and Methodist's Chase Walts who each shot five-over par 221s. Of note, Pfeiffer's Colin Phelps had a hole-in-one on the par-3 third hole from 177 yards out during the final round.
