Bozarth Named Greensboro Volleyball Coach

Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Athletics has announced the hiring of Dan Bozarth as the seventh head coach in Greensboro College Volleyball history.

Bozarth most recently served as the head volleyball coach at Caldwell Academy in Greensboro. There, he led the volleyball team to a 298-65 record over the past thirteen seasons. This includes thirteen consecutive winning seasons, thirteen state playoff appearances, twelve 20+ win seasons, five NCISAA State Championship appearances, and two NCISAA State Championships.

He is a nine-time conference coach of the year who has coached forty-five all-conference selections, eighteen NCISAA All-State Selections, and eight Conference Players of the Year. Additionally, Bozarth has spent time with Piedmont Volleyball Club, Carolina Spike Force, and Beach South Volleyball Club coaching 13s-18s at the national level, as well as working as a club director for Beach South Volleyball.  

In addition to volleyball, Bozarth serves as the athletic director at Caldwell Academy where he oversees the school's thirty sports teams. During his twenty year tenure as the leader of the athletic department, the program has captured eleven NCISAA State Championships, twenty-one NCISAA State Runner-ups, seventy-two conference championships, 100+ NCISAA All-State athletes, 500+ all-conference athletes and 40+ college athletic signings. Bozarth lives in Greensboro with his wife Nancy and daughters Madison and Ellie.

Bozarth says of leading the Greensboro Volleyball program, "I am very excited to be the next Head Coach at Greensboro College. I look forward to working with the student-athletes to continue to build upon the successes of the Greensboro College Volleyball program. There are some outstanding returning players, as well as promising incoming freshmen, which should help us compete at the highest level in the USA South Conference."

Director of Athletics Jerry Fisk says of the hiring of Bozarth, "I am excited to add Dan Bozarth to our staff. He has a proven track record of success and will be a tremendous addition to the department. I believe that he is the kind of empathetic leader that will serve the student-athletes on the team and help Greensboro College Women's Volleyball continue to contend for the USA South title annually."

The Pride won twenty games in 2024, their third straight twenty win season. It was the third time in program history the team had at least three straight twenty win seasons.
