USA South Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Class

The USA South Athletic Conference is pleased to announce its 2026 Hall of Fame Class. The three inductees, all former student-athletes, represent three different institutions. These individuals, along with the yet-to-be determined 2027 USA South Hall of Fame Class, will be officially celebrated during a ceremony which is expected to take place during the summer of 2027. The 2026 USA South Hall of Fame Inductees:

  • Holly Hite Tsolis was a four-year member of the Meredith women's lacrosse team from 2016-2019 and never lost a game against USA South competition. Tsolis was a two-time Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American and a three-time IWLCA All-Region performer. The 2019 USA South Player of the Year was also a member of the IWLCA Division III Senior All-Start team that season. Tsolis was a three-time First Team All-Conference member, was a part of four USA South Regular Season and Tournament Championships, was named the USA South Tournament Most Valuable Player twice, and participated in the NCAA Division III Tournament on four occasions. As a two-year captain for the Avenging Angels lacrosse squad, she was named the team's “Heart and Hustle MVP” twice while also taking home the College's Athlete of the Year in 2019. Tsolis is the current USA South record holder for draw controls in a career (568), season (222), game (18), and USA South Tournament (23). Off the field, Tsolis was a two-time member of the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, named to the USA South All-Academic team three times, and served as a member of the Meredith Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) each of her four years on the Raleigh, North Carolina campus.

  • Logan McKenzie was a standout on the Mountaineer's men's cross country and track & field teams from 2017-2020 and becomes the first individual from Berea to be inducted into the USA South Hall of Fame. In cross country, McKenzie was a three-time USA South Runner of the Year and two-time USA South Conference Meet Champion. He earned all-region honors three times, qualified for the NCAA Division III National Meet on three occasions, was the 2018 NCAA South Region Champion, and a 2017 All-American. McKenzie was also a part of three USA South Team Championships. In outdoor track & field, McKenzie was only able to participate in one USA South championship as the Conference reinstated the event in 2019 after a 31-year hiatus. In that one meet though, McKenzie was a two-event All-Conference member and won the 3,000-meter Steeplechase. Additionally, McKenzie is the current record holder in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 9:03.61 he set during the 2019 season. Although the USA South did not sponsor a championship in indoor track & field, McKenzie was a two-event NCAA Division III National Meet qualifier and was a 2019 All-American in the 3,000 meters.

  • Jill Owens Edwards cemented her place among Christopher Newport's all-time greats with a dominant softball career from 1995-1999, earning National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American honors in 1998. A versatile force in the circle and at the plate, she was a three-time NFCA All-Region selection, twice as a second-team pitcher and once as a first-team utility player. A two-time Conference Player of the Year, Edwards was the first of two CNU players to earn NCAA Regional All-Tournament team nods. She was a four-time first team all-conference member as a pitcher while also adding one second team honor at first base. Her résumé also includes five Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State awards, highlighted by being named the 1998 State Player of the Year. Edwards graduated as the Conference’s career record holder in wins (68) and ERA (1.63) and is the only pitcher in league history to throw back-to-back no-hitters, finishing with four overall. She remains CNU’s all-time leader in appearances (104), complete games (80), innings pitched (589.0), and victories (68), while also ranking among the program’s top hitters with a .396 career batting average.
