Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Craig Sabb, Pfeiffer - The sophomore guard from Goose Creek, South Carolina posted a double-double with a career-high 37 points to go along with 11 rebounds in a 135-127 victory over Warren Wilson in the Falcons' only contest last week. Sabb also dished out five assists, collected one steal and grabbed one block in the win. Also Nominated: Chris Braswell, N.C. Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
John Ingram, William Peace - The freshman forward from Charlotte, North Carolina averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Pacers. In an 84-73 loss to Randolph, Ingram posted 12 points, two rebounds and one assist. In a 96-71 victory over Hampden-Sydney, Ingram tallied career-highs of 15 points and four rebounds to go along with one assist. Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Marilauren Farr, LaGrange - The Dawson, Georgia senior forward averaged a double-double of 16.3 points and 10.0 rebounds to go along with 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in a 2-1 week for the Panthers. In a 68-64 win over Bob Jones, Farr contributed 11 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one assist. In a 62-51 loss to Pensacola Christian, Farr posted a double-double of 11 points and ten rebounds with one steal and one block. Finally, in a 68-55 victory over Welch, Farr notched a double-double with a career-high 27 points to go along with 11 rebounds as well as two assists, two steals and two blocks. Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Hope Franklin, Piedmont - The Blue Ridge, Georgia freshman forward averaged a double-double of 12.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Lions. In a 78-72 win over Southern Virginia, Franklin contributed two points, ten rebounds, one steal and one block. In a 79-61 victory over Louisiana College, Franklin tallied her first-career double-double with 17 points and a collegiate-high 12 rebounds to go along with three blocks. Finally, in a 70-53 loss to Roanoke, Franklin scored a career-high 19 points with eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal.
