USA South Golf Athletes of the Week - April 1, 2026

  • Men's Golfer of the Week
    Beau Brewer, Methodist - The Dexter, Michigan senior placed fifth out of 150 golfers at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate two weeks ago by shooting an 11-under par 205. In the three-round event, Brewer opened with a five-under par 67,  improved on that with a six-under par 66, before finishing with an even-par 72. Also Nominated: Wyatt Reeder, Pfeiffer; Will Agnew, Southern Virginia.

    Men's Golf Rookie of the Week
    Jason Parrish, Greensboro - The Traverse City, Michigan freshman placed tied for 23rd out of 150 golfers at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate two weeks ago by shooting a four-under par 212. In the three-round event, Parrish opened with an even-par 72 before finishing with consecutive two-under par 70s. Also Nominated: Juan Amil, N.C. Wesleyan; Ryan McQuarrie, Pfeiffer; Spencer Norris, Southern Virginia; Todd Moyer, Methodist.

  • Women's Golfer of the Week
    Mary Charles Davis, Huntingdon - The Cullman, Alabama junior placed fourth out of 84 golfers at the Randolph-Macon Stith Invitational last week by shooting a three-over par 219. In the three-round event, Davis opened with a one-over par 73, improved on that with an even-par 72, before finishing with a two-over par 74. Also Nominated: Erin Donovan, Piedmont.

    Women's Golf Rookie of the Week
    Lila Polakowski, Piedmont - The Canton, Michigan freshman placed 57th out of 84 golfers at the Randolph-Macon Stith Invitational last week by shooting a 33-over par 249. In the three-round event, Polakowski opened with a 13-over par 85, improved on that with a seven-over par 79, before finishing with another 13-over par 85. Also Nominated: Berkley Wiggins, Huntingdon; Jenna Underwood, Meredith.
