Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Chris Braswell, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior guard from Durham, North Carolina drained six three pointers en route to scoring 30 points as the Bishops topped USA South foe Berea, 92-83, in the team's only contest last week. Braswell also added six rebounds, five assists and two steals in the win. Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Andrew Doty, Berea - The freshman center from Irvine, Kentucky averaged 19.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in an 0-2 week for the Mountaineers. In a 99-75 loss to Johnson (TN), Doty scored 18 points to go along with five rebounds. In a 92-83 loss to USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan, Doty totaled 20 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and one assist. Also Nominated: Noah Smith, Averett; Justin Quick, Piedmont.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Joanna Smith, Covenant - The Chattanooga, Tennessee junior guard/forward averaged a double-double of 19.5 points and 15.5 rebounds to go along with 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a 1-1 week for the Scots. In a 69-63 loss to Sewanee, Smith totaled 23 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and one steal. In an 83-74 win over Webster, Smith became the 22nd player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark as she scored 16 points to go along with 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Logan Lee, Methodist - The Selma, North Carolina freshman forward led all scorers with 19 points in a 64-51 victory over USA South rival Meredith in the Monarchs' only contest last week. Lee also added five rebounds, three assists and one steal. Also Nominated: Erin Beasley, Maryville; Hope Franklin, Piedmont; Bailee Vanover, Berea; Genesis Weiters, Averett.
