Football Offensive Player of the Week
Jeff Black, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior running back from Atlanta, Georgia had a team-high 119 yards with two touchdowns in a 48-24 win over USA South foe Methodist last week. Black carried the ball 20 times for an average of 6.0 yards per attempt and was responsible for the go-ahead touchdown at the end of the first quarter. Also Nominated: Brandon Bullins, Methodist; Damon Rouse, Brevard; Eric Thomas, Huntingdon; Jacob Wright, Averett.

Football Offensive Rookie of the Week
Brandon Bullins, Methodist - The freshman quarterback from Kernersville, North Carolina tossed three touchdowns in a 48-24 loss to USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan last week. Bullins was 25-of-35 passing for 257 yards with one interception. Also Nominated: None.

Football Defensive Player of the Week 
Antonio Johnson, N.C. Wesleyan
 - The Beaufort, North Carolina senior linebacker totaled a season-high 17 tackles, four of which were for a loss, a forced fumble and an interception in a 48-24 win over USA South rival Methodist last week. Johnson had nine solo tackles and eight assisted take downs and returned his interception 72 yards to set up a Battling Bishop touchdown. Football Defensive Rookie of the Week
Casey Peppers, Huntingdon - The freshman linebacker from Panama City, Florida was in on seven tackles, including one for a loss of yardage, with two forced fumbles as his defense pitched a shutout, 58-0, against USA South foe Greensboro last week. Peppers had six solo tackles and one assisted take down while one of his forced fumbles was recovered by the Hawks and led to a touchdown. Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Kevin Alford, N.C. Wesleyan - The sophomore kick returner from Charlotte, North Carolina took his first return of the day 92 yards for a touchdown to help pave the way for a 48-24 win over USA South foe Methodist last week. Methodist jumped out to an early 7-0 first quarter lead when Alford grabbed back the momentum on the ensuing kickoff with his score. Also Nominated: Cole Westberry, Averett.

Volleyball Player of the Week
Meredith Bonee, Maryville - The sophomore setter/right side hitter from Knoxville, Tennessee averaged 2.90 kills, 4.40 assists and 2.70 digs per set and tallied two double-doubles as the Scots posted a 3-0 record last week. In a 3-0 win over Emory & Henry, Bonee totaled seven kills, seven digs, nine assists, three service aces and one block. In a 3-1 victory over USA South foe LaGrange, Bonee posted seven kills, 11 digs, 19 assists and two blocks. Finally, in a 3-0 win over USA South rival Huntingdon to complete an undefeated League slate, Bonee tallied 15 kills, nine digs, 16 assists and one block. Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Lauren Phillips, Meredith - The junior defensive specialist from Greenville, North Carolina averaged 6.13 and 1.50 assists per set as the Avenging Angels posted a 1-1 record last week versus USA South competition. In a 3-1 loss to William Peace, Phillips totaled 28 digs and seven assists. In a 3-1 win over Salem, Phillips posted 21 digs and five assists. Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Jess Chesrown, Covenant - The freshman middle hitter from Fort Collins, Colorado averaged 3.60 kills and 1.60 blocks per set as the Scots posted a 2-1 record last week. In a 3-0 loss to Sewanee, Chesrown notched two kills and four blocks in just one set played. In a 3-1 win over USA South foe Piedmont, Chesrown posted a career-high 15 kills with four blocks and one assist. Finally, in a 3-0 victory over USA South rival Brevard, Chesrown totaled one kill and two digs in just one set played. Also Nominated: Kirsten Boyd, LaGrange; Paige Emore, William Peace; Morgan Ilsley, Huntingdon; Kaitlyn Kilts, Pfeiffer; Lauren Montren, Averett; Breanna O'Shields, Brevard; Adrienne Roberts, Berea; Alex Roquemore, Agnes Scott; Valeria Rosa Lopez, Salem; Natalie Watts, Maryville; Alyssa Wrench, Methodist.
