MEN'S BASKETBALL

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Jordan Foote, Piedmont - The senior forward from Atlanta, Georgia notched a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Lions topped Methodist, 77-75, in the team's only contest last week. Foote's points and rebounds stats were game-highs as he added a co-game high six assists and one steal. Also Nominated: Dante Burden, Methodist; Corey Baldwin, Averett; Chris Barnette, Covenant; Dorian Miles, Pfeiffer; Isaac Caudill, Berea; Kyron Kelly, N.C. Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Zach Fullagar, Mary Baldwin - The freshman forward from Melbourne, Australia averaged a double-double of 28.0 points and 11.0 rebounds, to go along with, 3.0 assists per game last week in a 0-2 week for the Fighting Squirrels with losses to Randolph and Ferrum. Fullagar posted double-doubles in each game as his week-highs included 35 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Also Nominated: Dylan Drinkwater, N.C. Wesleyan.

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Destiny Combs, Berea - The Louisville, Kentucky sophomore guard averaged a double-double of 13.0 points and 12.3 rebounds, to go along with 2.0 steals, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game as the Mountaineers posted a 3-0 record last week with wins over Campbellsville University Harrodsburg, LaGrange, and Huntingdon. Combs notched two double-doubles while her week-highs included 15 points, 19 rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks. Also Nominated: Kiley Hicks, Methodist; Camryn Lunsford, Averett; Ruthie Moore, Covenant; Jalaya Lewis, LaGrange; Tanaeshea Ellison, Pfeiffer; Kayrisma Harrison, N.C. Wesleyan; Jordan Heifner, Maryville; Karli Mason, Greensboro; Destiny Williams, Brevard.

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Kiley Hicks, Methodist - The Wylie, Texas freshman scored a game-high 18 points as the Monarchs topped Mary Baldwin, 53-43, in the team's only contest last week. Hicks was 9-for-12 shooting while also contributing six rebounds and one assist. Also Nominated: Jaa Brown, Averett; Abby Witt, Covenant; Britney Chavez, LaGrange; Tanaeshea Ellison, Pfeiffer; Lexi Shepard, Brevard.
