WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (considering games from 12/20/21-1/9/22)

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Livia Skinner, Piedmont - The senior guard from Rome, Georgia led the Lions to a 2-0 record at the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament hosted by DePauw two weeks ago. Skinner averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. In the championship game, the Lions upset ninth-ranked DePauw, 75-74 in overtime, as Skinner scored a game-high 20 points and had a team-high seven assists to go along with two rebounds and two steals. It was the first win in the program's NCAA era (2003) over a top-ten opponent. Also Nominated: Camryn Lunsford, Averett; Kayrisma Harrison, N.C. Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Aysha Short, Brevard - The freshman guard from Morganton, North Carolina scored a career-high 23 points as the Tornados topped LaGrange, 88-82, in the team's lone game over the past three weeks.
