Football Offensive Player of the Week
Keyshaun Pete, Methodist - The junior running back from Tampa, Florida rushed for a career-high 226 yards with three touchdowns in a 36-23 win over Southern Virginia last week. Pete carried the ball 28 times for an average of 8.1 yards per rush and matched his single-game career-high with the three scores. He also caught one pass for 28 yards. Football Defensive Player of the Week
Ernest Smith II, Brevard - The Barnwell, South Carolina junior defensive lineman totaled four tackles, which included 2.5 sacks, in a 24-21 win at Maryville last week. Smith II had three solo tackles with one assisted tackle while his 2.5 sacks resulted in a loss of 17 total yards. Football Defensive Rookie of the Week
Landry Huddleston, Belhaven - The freshman defensive back from Irvington, Alabama totaled four tackles, which included one sack and a forced fumble, in a 70-16 victory over LaGrange last week. Huddleston made two solo tackles with two assisted take downs. His sack forced a fumble which was recovered by Belhaven and led to a Blazer touchdown on the next play. Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Stamati Damalos, Brevard - The senior place kicker from Tarpon Springs, Florida drilled a 42-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter which gave the Tornados a two-score lead and led to a 24-21 win at Maryville last week. Between that field goal and his three made extra points, Damalos' leg helped secure the Brevard win. Also Nominated: Constantine Hontzas, Belhaven.

Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Ammon Lewis, Southern Virginia - The Houston, Texas sophomore forward scored two goals with one assist in a 2-0 week for the Knights. In a 3-2 win at Mary Baldwin, Lewis opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a goal then assisted on the game-winning goal with 55 seconds remaining in the match. In a 2-1 victory over Pfeiffer which got SVU into postseason play, Lewis put the Knights on the board first with a goal in the 12th minute. Men's Soccer Defender of the Week
Matheus Rossi, Brevard - The Victoria, E.S., Brazil freshman goalkeeper earned a 1-0-1 record last week by making five total saves while playing 180 minutes in goal. In a 1-0 win over Greensboro, Rossi was credited with a shutout but did not have to make a save. In a 1-1 draw with William Peace, Rossi stopped five shots. Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Leho Le Louarn, N.C. Wesleyan - The Rennes, France freshman forward scored two goals with one assist in a 1-1 week of the Battling Bishops. Le Louarn did not appear in a 4-0 loss to Carolina University. In a 4-0 win over Mary Baldwin, which gave N.C. Wesleyan the League's regular season championship, Le Louarn scored the team's second and third goals of the match before assisted on the final score. Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Makinna Winterton, Southern Virginia - The Charlottesville, Virginia junior forward scored twice with three assists as the Knights posted a 2-0 record last week against USA South opposition. In a 2-1 win over Mary Baldwin, Winterton scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 48th minute. In a 5-0 victory over Meredith, Winterton assisted on the first two goals of the contest, scored the fourth goal, and then finished the day with her third assist on the Knights' final score. Women's Soccer Defender of the Week
Jordan Tomberlin, Salem - The Merritt Island, Florida senior goalkeeper posted a shutout in two appearances as the Spirits posted an 0-1-1 record last week against USA South opposition. In 135 minutes played, Tomberlin stopped 11 of 12 shots. In a 3-1 loss to N.C. Wesleyan, Tomberlin appeared in the second half, inheriting a 2-0 deficit, allowed one goal and stopped three shots. In a scoreless draw against Greensboro, Tomberlin played the full 90 minutes and made eight saves. Nicole Arroyo, Brevard - The Yulee, Florida freshman goalkeeper recorded a shutout in the only contest she appeared in last week, a 2-0 victory over Pfeiffer. Volleyball Player of the Week
Courtney Pinkston, Southern Virginia - The senior outside hitter from Gilbert, Arizona averaged 5.10 kills, with a .374 hitting percentage, and 2.30 digs per set as the Knights posted a 3-0 record last week with USA South wins over Greensboro, Methodist, and N.C. Wesleyan. Pinkston notched one double-double while her personal match-highs included 22 kills, 11 digs, five blocks, four service aces, and three assists. Emma Steiger, Southern Virginia - The senior libero from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania averaged 5.60 digs per set as the Knights posted a 3-0 record last week with USA South wins over Greensboro, Methodist, and N.C. Wesleyan. Steiger's personal match-highs included 27 digs, three assists (twice), two service aces (twice), and one kill. Lillie Davis, Meredith - The freshman setter from Roxboro, North Carolina averaged 9.55 assists and 2.91 digs per set as the Avenging Angels posted a 2-1 record last week with USA South wins over Pfeiffer and Salem, coupled with a loss to William Peace. Davis posted two double-doubles last week while her personal match-highs included 35 assists (three times), 13 digs, five service aces, two kills, and one block (twice).
