Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Isaiah Lewis, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior forward from Knightdale, North Carolina averaged 17.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 1.0 assists per game as the Battling Bishops posted a 3-0 record last week. In an 84-55 win over Apprentice, Lewis totaled 13 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, and two assists. In a 79-52 victory over Mid-Atlantic Christian, Lewis scored 17 points with five blocks, and four rebounds. Finally, in a 75-52 win over Huntingdon, Lewis notched a double-double of 21 points and ten rebounds with two steals and one assist. Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Shaun Kenedy, Southern Virginia - The freshman guard from Cary, North Carolina scored a game-high 25 points in the team's only contest last week, a 92-90, overtime, win over Ferrum. Kenedy also added eight assists, five rebounds, and one steal in the victory. Also Nominated: Omari Bolden, N.C. Wesleyan; Griffin Powell, Greensboro.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Makenna Parkins, Brevard - The Marion, North Carolina junior forward averaged a double-double of 19.0 points and 12.5 rebounds, to go along with 1.5 assists per game as the Tornados posted a 1-1 record last week. In a 62-57 loss at Berry, Parkins notched her first double-double of the week with 21 points and 12 rebounds, to go along with one steal. In a 96-84 win over USA South foe Salem, tallied a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds with three assists and one block. Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Makayla Street, Brevard - The Rock Hill, South Carolina freshman guard averaged 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals as the Tornados posted a 1-1 record last week. In a 62-57 loss at Berry, Street scored six points with two rebounds, and one steal. In a 96-84 win over USA South foe Salem, Street notched a career-highs of 18 points and nine rebounds to go along with four steals and one assist. Also Nominated: Miya Horton, Pfeiffer; Eve Schmalbeck, Southern Virginia; Rylie Wade, Meredith.
