Baseball Player of the Week
Davie Morgan, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior infielder from Pinetops, North Carolina went a combined 10-for-18 (.556) with a .619 on-base percentage and a 1.167 slugging percentage to go along with nine runs scored, 11 RBI, two doubles, three home runs, three walks, and one stolen base as the Battling Bishops posted a 3-1 record last week. In a 6-3 loss to Christopher Newport, who is receiving votes in national polls, was 1-for-3 with one run scored, one run batted in, one double, and one walk. Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Philip Berger, William Peace - The junior from Hillsborough, North Carolina tossed a complete game, seven-inning, shutout in his only appearance on the mound for the Pacers last week, a 22-0 win over USA South foe Mary Baldwin. Berger allowed three hits without a walk while striking out 13 batters. Also Nominated: Danny Thompson, N.C. Baseball Rookie of the Week
Cale Oehler, Brevard - The freshman infielder from Charlotte, North Carolina went a combined 6-for-13 (.462) with a .533 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage to go along with five runs scored, six RBI, one double, two home runs, and two walks as the Tornados took one of three games from USA South foe Piedmont last week. Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Jake Braun, Averett - The freshman from Troutville, Virginia earned his first collegiate win in two appearances last week for the Cougars. Braun tossed a total of 7.0 shutout innings, allowing five hits with five walks and two strikeouts. His victory came over USA South foe Southern Virginia as he tossed the first five innings, without allowing a run on five hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Against Tufts, a team receiving votes in national polls, Braun tossed two shutout innings. Softball Player of the Week
Rebekah Stegmayer, Piedmont - The senior from Lawrenceville, Georgia was a combined 8-for-8 (1.000) with a 1.000 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage to go along with two runs scored, two RBI, two walks, and five stolen bases as the Lions swept a doubleheader from Agnes Scott in the team's only action of last week. Softball Pitcher of the Week
Taylor Sullivan, Averett - The sophomore from Timberlake, North Carolina earned a 3-0 record in three appearances, all starts, last week for the Cougars. In wins over Bridgewater, USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan, and the nation's number-one team, Christopher Newport, Sullivan totaled 20.0 innings pitched, with a 2.10 ERA, allowing six runs on 15 hits with five walks and 24 strikeouts. Softball Rookie of the Week
Haley Fethke, Methodist - The freshman infielder from Chatom, Alabama was a combined 3-for-4 (.750) with an .833 on-base percentage and a 2.250 slugging percentage to go along with three runs scored, two RBI, two home runs, and one walk as the Monarchs swept a doubleheader against Southern Virginia in the team's only action of last week. In the first game against Southern Virginia, Fethke tied the school's single-game record with two home runs. Also Nominated: Molly Alejandrino, N.C. Emma Bullin, Pfeiffer - The freshman from Ararat, North Carolina earned a 2-0 record and a 0.81 ERA in two appearances, one start, last week for the Falcons. In 8.2 total innings pitched, Bullin allowed one run on five hits with zero walks and seven strikeouts as Pfeiffer swept a doubleheader from USA South rival Mary Baldwin. Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Tennison Schmidt, Southern Virginia - The Salt Lake City, Utah senior attackman totaled 12 points on eight goals and three assists, to go along with seven ground balls as the Knights posted a 2-0 record last week. In a 14-11 win over Southern Athletic Association favorite Centre, Schmidt scored three times with two assists and two ground balls. Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Chris Stallings, Greensboro - The Bel Air, Maryland graduate student goalkeeper made 22 saves and collected one ground ball in a 15-9 victory over Methodist, the team's only action last week. Also Nominated: Will Howell, LaGrange; Patrick Calhoun, William Peace; Spencer Stokes, Pfeiffer; Marques Fleming, Averett; Caleb Brodie, Southern Virginia; Devin McCarragher, Brevard.

Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
Aidan Story, LaGrange - The Steamboat Springs, Colorado attackman totaled 12 points on six goals and six assists, to go along with two ground balls, as the Panthers posted a 2-0 record last week against USA South opposition. In a 14-12 win over Huntingdon, Story scored three times with two assists and one ground ball. In a 19-4 victory over Averett, Story again scored three goals while adding four assists and one ground ball. Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Kylie Phillips, Meredith - The Greensboro, Maryland junior midfielder totaled 15 points on 14 goals and one assist, to go along with ten ground balls and nine draw controls last week as the Avenging Angles posted a 3-0 record. In two USA South wins, over Averett and Pfeiffer, Phillips totaled 12 goals, one assist, nine ground balls, and nine draw controls. In a 10-4 win over Lynchburg, Phillips scored twice and grabbed one ground ball. Also Nominated: Kayla Nee, Methodist; Blaire Harley, N.C. Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Alexis Murriel, Pfeiffer - The Gastonia, North Carolina senior attacker/midfielder totaled 17 caused turnovers, grabbed 21 ground balls, and collected 15 draw controls as the Falcons posted a 2-1 record last week. In a 13-12 win over Kalamazoo, Murriel totaled eight ground balls, seven caused turnovers and one draw control. In a win over Greensboro and a loss to Meredith, Murriel combined to collect 14 draw controls, 13 ground balls, and ten caused turnovers. Also Nominated: Kellianne Schlosser, Piedmont; Aydriyan Upchurch, N.C. Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
Merryn Bumpass, Piedmont - The Keller, Texas freshman attacker/midfielder totaled 11 points on nine goals and two assists, to go along with 12 draw controls and one ground ball as the Lions posted a 1-1 record last week. In a 19-9 loss to Centre, Bumpass scored four times and grabbed three draw controls. In a 21-5 victory over USA South foe William Peace, Bumpass scored five goals with two assists, nine draw controls, and one ground ball. Also Nominated: Erika Henry, Methodist; Lily McCarty, N.C. Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Augusto Roca, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior from Neuquen, Argentina, in his only two matches last week, earned singles and doubles wins at the number one and three positions, respectively, for the Battling Bishops over opposition from USA South rival Pfeiffer. In singles, Roca earned a straight-set win while in doubles, he teamed with Joaquin Micheloni to get a victory. Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Alberto Nunez, Piedmont - The freshman from Lima, Peru earned a 2-0 record at both number-one singles and number-two doubles last week for the Lions over opponents from USA South foes Berea and Maryville. In doubles, he teamed with Chris Bale to earn the victories. Also Nominated: Luca Knese, N.C. Wesleyan; Jay Trip, Averett.

Men's Doubles Team of the Week
Mike Porcelli and Roman Webb, Piedmont - The Lion duo earned a 2-0 record at the number-one doubles position last week. The wins came over opposition from USA South rivals Berea and Maryville. Also Nominated: Solomon Crouch and Austin Dreslinski, Covenant; Thato Holmes and Tshepo Mosarwa, N.C. Wesleyan; Stan Martherus and Jay Trip, Averett.

WOMEN'S TENNIS

Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Paula Snelson, Southern Virginia - The freshman from Brasilia, Brazil earned a 2-0 singles record with a 1-1 doubles mark at the top-positions for each against opposition from regionally-ranked Sweet Briar as well as USA South foe Methodist. In singles, against Sweet Briar, Snelson defeated the 19th-ranked singles player in the region in straight sets. In doubles, Snelson teamed with Annalise Schetsselaar to collect a win over Methodist. Also Nominated: Madelyn Savage, Covenant; Abbey Grace Venham, Piedmont; Camryn Straughn, William Peace; Ellie Osborne, Meredith; Darby Sherrill, Pfeiffer; Megan Kidd, Methodist; Maxence Lippens, Averett; Hannah Hersh, Brevard.

Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Drew Topoly, Methodist - The junior from Smithfield, North Carolina competed at the Mount Olive Adidas Trojan Challenge last week in the 5,000-meters. With a time of 14:52.83, Topoly set a new personal record by 35 seconds. Also Nominated: Garrett Stadler, Piedmont; Micaiah Allison, Covenant. 

Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Aaron Nash, Methodist - The freshman from Powhatan, Virginia competed at the Mount Olive Adidas Trojan Challenge last week in the long jump. With a mark of 6.79 meters, Nash set a new personal best. Also Nominated: Larry Branch, Berea; Brandon Gregory, Piedmont.

Men's Track Rookie of the Week
Seth Bergeron, Covenant - The freshman from Portland, Oregon competed at the Emory University Thrills in the Hills Open last week in three events. In the 800-meters, Bergeron's time of 2:00.26 was a new personal best. In the 1,500-meters, Bergerson completed the race in a time of 4:17.59. Finally, he was a part of the 4x400 meter relay team who finished in a time of 3:36.65. Also Nominated: Isaac Thacker, Piedmont. 

Men's Field Rookie of the Week
Aaron Nash, Methodist - The freshman from Powhatan, Virginia competed at the Mount Olive Adidas Trojan Challenge last week in the long jump. With a mark of 6.79 meters, Nash set a new personal best. Also Nominated:David Anderson, Piedmont.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD

Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Corrine Weaver, Meredith - The junior from Sanford, North Carolina competed at the Mount Olive Adidas Trojan Challenge last week in two events. In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Weaver set a new program record by finishing in 11:27.36 while in the 800-meters, she clocked in at 2:26.79. Also Nominated: Teanna Bellamy, N.C. Wesleyan; Teca Hill, Piedmont; S.K. Lipperd, Covenant; Caroline Stubblefield, Methodist; Quinland Musgrove, Mary Baldwin. 

Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Aaliyah Thomas, Pfeiffer - The senior from Pawley's Island, South Carolina competed at the Montreat Invitational last week in four events. She made the finals of the discus, shot put, and hammer throw, while setting a personal best in the discus (36.45 meters). Also Nominated: Christian Van Norden, N.C. Wesleyan; Allie Feltus, Piedmont.

Women's Track Rookie of the Week
Mariah Brooks, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Lawrenceville, Georgia competed at the Mount Olive Adidas Trojan Challenge last week in the 400 meters, finishing the race in 1:03.64. Also Nominated: Ileyna Brooks, Piedmont; Alexus Boyd, Pfeiffer.

Women's Field Rookie of the Week
Allie Feltus, Piedmont - The freshman from Natchez, Mississippi competed at the Kennesaw State (McGarey) Invitational last week in three events. In the shot put, Feltus set a new personal-best with a mark of 9.81 meters. In the discus, Feltus' best throw was 37.17 meters while in the Hammer Throw, she concluded with a mark of 32.55 meters. Also Nominated: Christian Van Norden, N.C. Wesleyan; Sophie Phillips, Meredith; Sarah Holler, Covenant; Elizabeth Jones, Pfeiffer.
