Baseball Player of the Week
Zach Ferrell, Pfeiffer - The senior outfielder from Apex, North Carolina went a combined 10-for-17 (.588) with a .650 on-base percentage and a 1.588 slugging percentage to go along with ten runs scored, ten RBI, two doubles, five home runs, and one walk as the Falcons posted a 3-1 record last week. In a 16-7 loss to sixth-ranked Lynchburg, Ferrell was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, four RBI, and two home runs. In a three-game sweep of USA South foe Mary Baldwin, Ferrell was a combined 7-for-13 with eight runs scored, six RBI, two doubles, three home runs, and one walk. Nathaniel Varnier, William Peace - The sophomore from Suffolk, Virginia tossed a seven-inning, complete-game, one-hit shutout in a 6-0 win over USA South rival Southern Virginia in his only appearance last week for the Pacers. He did not allow any walks while striking out 12 batters in the victory. Frankie Vasquez, Brevard - The freshman infielder from Pembroke Pines, Florida went a combined 4-for-7 (.571) with a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage to go along with one run scored, four RBI, and two walks as the Tornados swept a doubleheader from Bob Jones in their only contests last week. Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Hunter Hill, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Asheboro, North Carolina earned the win in a 19-7 victory over USA South foe Methodist last week which secured the USA South East Division title for the Battling Bishops. Hill tossed the first six innings and did not allow a run on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Tennison Schmidt, Southern Virginia - The Salt Lake City, Utah senior attackman totaled nine points on six goals and three assists in a 25-12 victory over USA South foe William Peace in the team's lone contest last week. Schmidt also added seven ground balls and three caused turnovers in the win. Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Chris Stallings, Greensboro - The Bel Air, Maryland senior goalie posted a win over LaGrange, 16-4, last week in the team's lone contest. In just over 53 minutes played, Stallings saved 13 shots and allowed just four goals.
