Baseball Player of the Week
Jackson Hobbs, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior first baseman from Brandon, Florida went a combined 7-for-11 (.636) with a .615 on-base percentage and a .909 slugging percentage to go along with five runs scored, nine RBI, one home run, one walk, and one stolen base as the Battling Bishops posted a 2-1 record last week. In a 10-7 loss to Nichols, Hobbs was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBI, one home run, and one walk. In a doubleheader sweep of Neumann, Hobbs was a combined 5-for-7 with three runs scored, six RBI, and one stolen base. Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Payne Stolsworth, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior from Salisbury, North Carolina tossed seven shutout innings in his only appearance last week for the Battling Bishops, a 12-0 win over Neumann. Stolsworth allowed just one hit to the second batter he faced then retired 20 of the next 21 batters he faced, which included ten strikeouts. Baseball Rookie of the Week
Brody Gardner, Greensboro - The freshman outfielder from Asheboro, North Carolina went a combined 6-for-19 (.316) with a .350 on-base percentage and a .474 slugging percentage to go along with three runs scored, two RBI, three doubles, and one walk as the Pride posted a 2-2 record last week. In taking two of three games against Averett, Gardner was a combined 5-for-19 with two runs scored, two doubles, and one walk. In an 8-3 loss to Roanoke, Gardner was 1-for-5 with one run scored, two RBI, and one double. Also Nominated: None.
Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Michael Richards, Greensboro - The freshman from Tampa, Florida received no-decisions in two appearances, one start, last week for the Pride. Richards tossed a total of seven innings, allowing one run on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts. In an 8-3 loss to Roanoke, Richards pitched the first five innings and left with the lead after allowing just one run on five hits. In a 10-3 win over Averett, Richards kept the Cougars at bay with two innings of shutout baseball. Also Nominated: Connor Crosby, Brevard.

Softball Player of the Week
Logan Ayers, William Peace - The junior shortstop from Oak City, North Carolina was a combined 5-for-7 (.714), with a .750 on-base percentage, and a .857 slugging percentage in the only games last week for the Pacers, a doubleheader sweep of Sweet Briar. Softball Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Barwick, Methodist - The junior from Jacksonville, North Carolina earned a 2-0 record in two starts last week for the Monarchs. In two complete games (14 innings), Barwick posted a 1.00 ERA on six hits with 11 strikeouts and four walks. In a 6-1 win over St. Andrews, Barwick allowed one unearned run on two hits with one walk and a career-high nine strikeouts. Angelina Jones, William Peace - The freshman designated player/outfielder from Windsor Locks, Connecticut was a combined 3-for-5 (.600) with a .600 on-base percentage and a .600 slugging percentage in the only games last week for the Pacers, a doubleheader sweep of Sweet Briar. Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Ryan Comeau, LaGrange - The Canton, Georgia sophomore attackman totaled 16 points on 12 goals and four assists with two ground balls in a 1-1 week for the Panthers. In a 19-7 loss to Birmingham Southern, Comeau scored four goals with one ground ball. In a 30-8 victory over Centenary, Comeau notched a career-high 12 points on eight goals and four assists to go along with one ground ball. Jacob Jeffords, LaGrange - The Marietta, Georgia senior was 59-72 (.819) on faceoffs to go along with 37 ground balls and three goals scored in a 1-1 week for the Panthers. In a 19-7 loss to Birmingham Southern, Jeffords was 23-30 on faceoffs with 13 grounds balls. In a 30-8 loss to Centenary, Jeffords tied the NCAA Division III record by winning 36 faceoffs while he also grabbed 24 ground balls and scored three goals. Drew Pond, Brevard - The Evans, Georgia sophomore attackman, playing in his first year of collegiate lacrosse, totaled five points on three goals and two assists in the team's only game last week, a 22-8 win over Spalding. Pond also added five ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory. Lauryn Turner, Meredith - The Durham, North Carolina sophomore attacker totaled eight points on six goals and two assists in the only contest last week for the Avenging Angels, a 20-3 win over Virginia Wesleyan. Izzy Steele, Meredith - The Pinehurst, North Carolina midfielder caused five turnovers in the only contest last week for the Avenging Angels, a 20-3 win over Virginia Wesleyan. Clara Welch, Piedmont - The Canton, Georgia freshman midfielder scored three goals in the only contest last week for the Lions the first win over Sewanee since 2016, a 20-19 victory. Men's Tennis Player of the Week
John Falke, NC Wesleyan - The junior from Halland, Sweden earned a 2-1 singles mark and a 1-2 doubles record during the ITA DIII National Indoor Championships last week. In singles, Falke earned wins over opponents from nationally-ranked Gustavus Adolphus at the number-two position and Pomona-Pitzer at the top-spot. In doubles, he teamed with Augusto Roca at the number-three position for a win over Pomona-Pitzer. Also Nominated: None.
Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Matthew Hurley, Methodist - The freshman from Faulconbridge, New South Wales, Australia earned a 1-1 singles and doubles record at the top spots last week for the Monarchs. In singles, Hurley's win was against Johnson & Wales while the loss was to Division-I Richmond. In doubles, Hurley teamed with Andrew Wood to grab a win over opposition from Johnson & Wales. Men's Doubles Team of the Week
Sean Keane and Diego Segovia, N.C. Wesleyan - The Battling Bishop duo earned a 1-2 record last week at the ITA DIII National Indoor Championships last week. The team's win came at the number-two position against opposition from nationally-ranked Washington University (St. Louis). Also Nominated: None.
