Baseball Player of the Week
Jackson Deal, Methodist - The sophomore center fielder from China Grove, North Carolina went a combined 7-for-14 (.500) with a .611 on-base percentage and a .786 slugging percentage to go along with nine runs scored, four RBI, one double, three walks, two stolen bases, and zero strikeouts as the Monarchs posted a 4-0 record last week. In a 15-5 win over Eastern, Deal had one hit but it was a big one, a grand slam to break an early 1-1 tie. In a 5-2 win over preseason nationally-ranked Immaculata, Deal was 2-for-3 with one run scored, one double, and one walk. In an 8-2 victory over 18th-ranked Christopher Newport, Deal was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and one walk. Finally, in a 10-4 win over Averett, Deal was 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Baseball Pitcher of the Week
William St. Leger, Methodist - The graduate student from Hampstead, North Carolina tossed six innings and got the win in his only appearance last week for the Monarchs, an 8-2 victory over 18th-ranked Christopher Newport. St. Leger allowed two runs on six hits with two walks and a career-high seven strikeouts. After allowing single runs in the first two innings, St. Leger tossed four straight scoreless frames. Baseball Rookie of the Week
Brody Gardner, Greensboro - The freshman outfielder from Asheboro, North Carolina went a combined 5-for-17 (.294) with a .333 on-base percentage and a .353 slugging percentage to go along with five runs scored and one double as the Pride posted a 1-3 record last week. In a 24-3 loss to Guilford, Gardner was hitless. In taking one of three games against Berry, Gardner was a combined 5-for-14 with five runs scored and one double. Also Nominated: None.
Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Connor Crosby, Brevard - The freshman from Tampa, Florida tossed seven innings and got the win in his only appearance last week for the Tornados, an 11-2 victory over Berea. Crosby allowed just one run on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Also Nominated: None.

Softball Player of the Week
Molly Alejandrino, N.C. Wesleyan - The sophomore infielder Virginia Beach, Virginia was a combined 12-for-24 (.500), with a .582 on-base percentage, and a .917 slugging percentage to go along with seven runs scored, nine RBI, two doubles, one triple, two home runs, and five walks in a 7-1 week for the Battling Bishops. In two games against nationally-ranked opponents, Rowan and Randolph-Macon, Alejandrino was a combined 4-for-7 with one run scored, one run batted in, and two doubles. Alejandrino's home runs came in wins over Carolina University and Denison. Katherine Murphy, William Peace - The senior from Wade, North Carolina earned a 2-0 record in two starts last week for the Pacers. In two complete games (14 innings), Murphy posted a 0.50 ERA, allowing two runs (one earned) on ten hits with three walks and 11 strikeouts. In a 2-1 win over Rhode Island College, Murphy allowed just one run on five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. In a 2-1 victory over Oberlin, Murphy allowed one unearned run on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Sam Charles, Mary Baldwin - The freshman infielder from Staunton, Virginia was a combined 6-for-16 (.375) with a .444 on-base percentage and a .563 slugging percentage to go along with two runs scored, five RBI, and one home run as the Fighting Squirrels posted a 5-0 record last week. In the first game of the week, a 5-4 win over Ferrum, Charles hit her first career home run in the bottom of the fifth inning which put the Fighting Squirrels out in front for good. Another good outing from Charles was in a 5-3 victory over Kean where she was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Softball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Lillie Davis, Meredith - The freshman from Roxboro, North Carolina earned a 4-0 record in four appearances, two starts, last week for the Avenging Angels. In 18.1 innings pitched, Davis posted a 1.15 ERA as she allowed four runs (three earned) on ten hits with six walks, and 21 strikeouts. In each of the two starts, victories over Messiah (7-1) and Averett (12-0, 5 inn.) Davis went the distance, allowing just one unearned run on six hits with three walks and ten strikeouts. Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
J.P. Galloway, Pfeiffer - The Frederick, Maryland senior attackman totaled 12 points on eight goals and four assists with two ground balls in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. In a 23-7 win over Ferrum, Galloway scored five times with two assists and two ground balls. In an 18-5 victory over Moravian, Galloway scored three goals with two assists. Nate Woodhill, Pfeiffer - The Hewitt, Texas junior goalkeeper earned two wins in two starts last week for the Falcons, allowing eight goals with 13 saves, four ground balls, and four caused turnovers. In a 23-7 win over Ferrum, Woodhill played 45 minutes and allowed five goals with five saves, one ground ball, and one caused turnover. In an 18-5 win over Moravian, Woodhill played 58 minutes and allowed three goals with eight saves, three ground balls, and three caused turnovers. RJ Breeden, Methodist - The Pasadena, Maryland freshman attackman totaled four goals, three ground balls, and one caused turnover in a 1-1 week for the Monarchs. In an 11-6 loss to Guilford, Breeden scored a co-team high two goals with three ground balls, and one caused turnover. In a 12-3 win over Averett, Breeden again scored twice. Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Alissa Johnson, Southern Virginia - The Salt Lake City, Utah senior attacker scored a game-high five goals with five draw controls in the only contest last week for the Knights, a 15-4 win over Virginia Wesleyan. Kennedy Martin, Methodist - The Wilmington, North Carolina midfielder totaled game-highs of five caused turnovers, seven ground balls, and seven draw controls in the only contest last week for the Monarchs, an 18-5 win over Ferrum. Clara Welch, Piedmont - The Canton, Georgia freshman midfielder totaled nine points on eight goals and one assist to go along with seven ground balls, three caused turnovers, and one draw control in a 1-1 week for the Lions. In a 17-4 win over Warren Wilson, Welch scored four goals with four ground balls, one draw control, and one caused turnover. In a 15-13 loss to Calvin, Welch again scored four times with one assist, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers. John Falke, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior from Halland, Sweden earned a 2-0 record at the number-two singles spot and the number-three doubles position last week for the Battling Bishops. In singles, Falke earned wins over opponents from Washington & Lee and nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins. In doubles, he teamed with Augusto Roca for the two wins. Megan Rekieta, Pfeiffer - The sophomore from Lubbock, Texas earned a 2-2 singles mark and a 4-0 doubles record all at the top-positions during the past two weeks for the Falcons. In singles, Rekieta earned wins over opponents from Johnson & Wales and Maryville. In doubles, she teamed with Alison Sloop to grab wins over Johnson & Wales, Maryville, Penn State-Behrend, and Marietta. Also Nominated: Hannah Hersh, Brevard.
