Jackson Hobbs, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior first baseman from Brandon, Florida went a combined 7-for-17 (.412) with a .421 on-base percentage, and a .647 slugging percentage to go along with four runs scored, seven RBI, one double, one home run, one walk, one sacrifice fly, and one stolen base as the Battling Bishops posted a 3-1 record against USA South competition. In a 3-2 loss at William Peace, Hobbs was without a hit in four at-bats. In a three-game sweep of Greensboro, Hobbs was a combined 7-for-13 with four runs scored, seven RBI, one double, one home run, one walk, one sacrifice fly, and one stolen base. John Owen, Pfeiffer - The senior from Richfield, North Carolina earned a complete-game win in his only appearance last week, a 3-2 victory over USA South foe William Peace. Owen went the distance allowing two runs on five hits with zero walks and ten strikeouts. Ty Martinez, Southern Virginia - The freshman outfielder from South Weber, Utah went a combined 6-for-14 (.429) with a .467 on-base percentage, and a 1.143 slugging percentage to go along with five runs scored, six RBI, one double, three home runs, and one walk as the Knights went 2-2 against USA South competition last week. In a 6-2 win over Mary Baldwin, Martinez was 1-for-4 with one run scored and three RBI on a three-run home run. In falling two out of three times to 16th ranked Methodist, Martinez was a combined 5-for-10 with four runs scored, three RBI, one double, and two home runs. Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Sam Safrit, Pfeiffer - The freshman from China Grove, North Carolina appeared in relief in one game last week for the Falcons, earning a win in a 7-4 victory over USA South foe William Peace. Safrit came on to pitch in the fifth and went 2.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits with one walk. Also Nominated: Matt Evans, Brevard.

Kenzi Lyall, Pfeiffer - The sophomore outfielder from Sparta, North Carolina was a combined 7-for-12 (.583), with a .643 on-base percentage, and a .917 slugging percentage to go along with seven runs scored, two RBI, one double, one home run, one walk, and one stolen base as the Falcons went 4-0 against USA South competition last week. In a doubleheader sweep of Meredith, Lyall was a combined 4-for-7 with four runs scored, one run batted in, one double, one walk, and one stolen base. Kali Morton, Pfeiffer - The junior from Mooresville, North Carolina earned a 2-0 record with one save in three appearances, two starts, without allowing a run last week for the Falcons. In 13 innings, Morton allowed nine runs with two walks and 14 strikeouts. In a doubleheader sweep of Meredith, Morton sealed the win by striking out the side in the final inning before tossing a four-hit shutout in the second game. Morgan Aycock, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Clayton, North Carolina earned a 2-0 record last week against USA South competition. In 14 total innings, Aycock allowed four runs on 14 hits with five walks and seven strikeouts. In a 7-0 win over Methodist, Aycock tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing four hits and two walks with three strikeouts. In a 7-4 victory over Southern Virginia, Aycock again went the distance, allowing four runs on ten hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Hunter Vaughan, Methodist - The Apex, North Carolina senior attackman totaled 19 points on ten goals and nine assists to go along with four ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Monarchs against USA South competition. In a 16-11 win over Greensboro, Vaughan scored four times with five assists. In a 26-3 win over Brevard, Vaughan scored six goals with four assists, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Tyler Bennett, Methodist - The Greensboro, North Carolina senior midfielder/faceoff specialist totaled 23 ground balls while also going 35-of-52 (.673) on faceoffs last week as the Monarchs posted a 2-0 record against USA South competition. In a 16-11 win over Greensboro, Bennett grabbed 11 ground balls, was 19-of-29 on faceoffs, scored once, and had one assist. In a 26-3 win over Brevard, Bennett collected 12 ground balls and was 16-of-23 on faceoffs. Emily Denaga, Brevard - The Buford, Georgia sophomore midfielder totaled 16 points on 11 goals and five assists with 28 draw controls, four ground balls, and four caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Tornados against USA South foes. In a 24-4 win over Greensboro, Denaga scored four times with three assists, 13 draw controls, four caused turnovers, and three ground balls. In a 27-4 victory over William Peace, Denaga scored seven goals with two assists, a program-record tying 15 draw controls, and one ground ball. Mia Haulbrook, Huntingdon - The Powder Springs, Georgia junior goalkeeper collected two wins over USA South competition by making 17 saves while allowing just seven goals in 120 minutes played last week for the Hawks. In a 16-1 win over Greensboro, Haulbrook stopped four of five shots while in an 8-6 victory over N.C. Wesleyan she collected 13 saves. Xan Hill, Brevard - The Fort Mill, South Carolina freshman attacker/midfielder totaled 17 points on eight goals and nine assists with six ground balls, five caused turnovers, and one draw control as the Tornados posted a 2-0 record against USA South foes. In a 24-4 win over Greensboro, Hill scored three times with two assists, three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and one draw control. In a 27-4 victory over William Peace, Hill tied the program single-game record with 12 points on five goals and seven assists to go along with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Marcos Dias, Southern Virginia - The senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil earned a 2-1 singles record with a 1-2 doubles mark, all at the top-spots, last week for the Knights. In singles, Dias grabbed wins over opponents from Division II Daemen and USA South foe William Peace while dropping a match against a player from Division I Longwood. Aaron Nash, Methodist - The sophomore from Powhatan, Virginia competed at the Mount Olive Trojan Relays last week in the long jump as well as two running events.
