  • Football Offensive Player of the Week
    Chancellor Lee-Parker, Brevard - The Auburn, Georgia graduate student running back rushed for a career-high 208 yards in a 41-25 victory over Kentucky Christian last week.     Mychal Stillwell, LaGrange - The Warner Robins, Georgia freshman tight end compiled caught seven passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns in a 50-24 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week Also Nominated: Tanner Zill, Methodist; Payton Park, Southern Virginia.

    Football Defensive Player of the Week
    Desmond Fogle, LaGrange - The Jacksonville, Florida graduate student linebacker totaled nine tackles, two of which were for a loss, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery which he returned 92 yards for a score in a 50-24 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week. Also Nominated: JaJuan Givens, Greensboro; Robert Dorsey, Brevard; Dee Gray, Belhaven; Jonathan Harris, Maryville.

    Football Defensive Rookie of the Week
    Ched Smith, LaGrange - The Macon, Georgia freshman linebacker notched 13 total tackles, including 3.5 for a loss of seven total yards in a 50-24 win over USA South foe Southern Virginia last week. Of Smith's 13 tackles, 12 were of the solo variety and included a sack.     Football Special Teams Player of the Week
    Tyler Barrett, Maryville - The Marietta, Georgia senior blocked a punt which was returned for a touchdown in a 35-14 win over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan last week. It was Barrett's fourth punt block of the year and third that resulted in a Scot touchdown. Also Nominated: Constantine Hontzas, Belhaven; Hugo Taylor, Brevard.

  • Men's Basketball Player of the Week
    Zach Sloan, Mary Baldwin - The Bunn, North Carolina junior guard scored a career-high 32 points in the team's lone contest of last week, an 83-76 win over Washington & Lee. Sloan also added eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals in the victory. Also Nominated: Eli Ballstaedt, Southern Virginia; Daymon Beckwith, Pfeiffer; Twain Wilson, Brevard; Brian Bullock, Methodist; Ryan Lominack, William Peace.

    Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
    Twain Wilson, Brevard - The Columbia, South Carolina freshman averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists as the Tornados posted a 2-0 record last week. In a 100-65 win over Bob Jones, Wilson scored 19 points with eight rebounds, two assists, and one block. In a 104-56 victory over Warren Wilson, Wilson contributed ten points, three rebounds, and one assist. Also Nominated: Elijah Green, William Peace; Greg Ehlinger, Methodist.

  • Women's Basketball Player of the Week
    Nadia Simmons, N.C. Wesleyan - The Henderson, North Carolina graduate student guard averaged 16.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game as the Battling Bishops posted a 3-0 record last week. In an 81-65 win over Roanoke, Simmons posted a double-double of 18 points and ten rebounds to go along with four assists and three steals. In an 88-62 victory over Warren Wilson, Simmons scored 19 points with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Finally, in a 72-53 win over Averett, Simmons contributed 11 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block.     Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
    Meah Brooks, Greensboro - The freshman forward from Siler City, North Carolina averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in a 2-0 week for the Pride. In a 61-33 win over Regent, Brooks scored four points with five rebounds. In an 86-27 victory over Mid-Atlantic Christian, Brooks posted a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds to go along with five assists, four steals, and two blocks.
