N.C. Wesleyan Track Duo Earn All-American Honors

Myrtle Beach, SC - The thrill of victory echoed through Myrtle Beach as N.C. Wesleyan's dynamic duo, Kamiyah Wooten and Ti'Asia Bryant, etched their names into the annals of history at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. In a display of raw talent and unwavering determination, Wooten and Bryant showcased their extraordinary abilities, earning four All-American accolades between them and making waves in the collegiate track and field scene.

Kamiyah Wooten, a rising star in the world of sprinting, left spectators in awe with her electrifying performance in the 200-meter event. Crossing the finish line in 6th place with a blistering time of 24.37 seconds, Wooten secured First Team All-American honors, adding yet another prestigious accolade to her burgeoning collection of achievements. Her stellar performance not only highlighted her exceptional speed and agility but also underscored her status as one of the most promising talents in Division III track and field. Wooten's ascent to the pinnacle of collegiate athletics is further exemplified by her recent accolade as the 2024 Division III South Regional Athlete of the Year, a testament to her remarkable skill and dedication.

Meanwhile, fellow freshman Ti'Asia Bryant made her mark on the championships with an impressive showing in the 100-meter dash. Bursting out of the blocks with lightning speed, Bryant blazed her way to a 6th place finish in the finals, clocking an astounding time of 12.18 seconds. Her remarkable performance earned her First Team All-American honors. Notably, this year marks the first time in N.C. Wesleyan's history that a duo of freshmen from the track program have been named First Team All-Americans, underscoring the remarkable talent and potential of Wooten and Bryant.
